I have quite a few non-fiction history books which they were willing to purchase for between £2 and £4 each. I would only have charity shopped them anyway so it seems like easy money.
They collected my parcel today, so will let you know how smooth the transaction is.Moving on upSPC #382 ~ £40 banked

I've transferred a massive 34p to savings so far, going to hit my aim in no time! :rotfl:
Don't worry slowlyfading, I will manage nothing, nada this month as my credit card bill is massive smassive for January, having paid for my new spectacles (£1200), and the insurance and deposit for my Son's first car (£825 and £1000) plus my season ticket on it in the last half of November. My reserves stash is considerably smaller now and I still have a builder's invoice to pay> Official nightmare!
On the bright side I am very heartened to see everyone else's discussions and progress
I am guessing you want the google doc updates after the 31st to let you update the master sheet?

How about the TSB and Nationwide monthly savers? Both 5%, both flexible payments, both accessible if need be, and you've already got the required current accounts.
that's definitely the best idea
I'm continuing saving and will post my results at the end of the month.Earn, Save and Achieve0 -
Hoping to buy our first house with the missus early 2017. Here we go... Sign me up for £13000!
From monthly cash contributions alone I'm set to save £9200. Interest, HTB government bonus and my current capital should make up the rest.
Split it across:
£300 per month in First Direct regular saver
£200 per month in Halfax HTB ISA
£150 per month in TSB reg saver
I already have £4000 in two TSB current accounts earning interest which is feeding in to the TSB reg saver.:www: Save 12k in 2016: £2,100 / £13,000 only £10,900 to go!0 -
Afternoon all
Not actually got off the mark yet as I'll tot up at the end of the month. But opened a saving account with 5% interest and hopefully have some cash back coming in as and when. Sold some books. Not for much but cleared some clutter. When the money gets in the savings account I'll add it.Save 12k in 2016. Member #128 aiming for £2400. 0/24000 -
I currently have:
Main bank account HSBC and HSBC reg saver at 4%
TSB current account at 5% and shortly to open their reg saver at 5%
I'm a bit stuck with finding another reg saver, or current account (or both) that will pay me 5%. I don't have much disposable cash each month to be depositing the amounts some of these banks want..... Any ideas?0
