Ok first payment of the year into savings £82.36.
I know some people are saying about not posting small payments, but I will be I am afraid as to me its the little bits that add up over time and I prefer to transfer things straight away as and when they are saved/earnt/recieved

Made a payment of £120 into savings this morning, and recieved a refund cheque for £89 from Scottish Power so have been into the bank this morning to put that into my current account.
I am hoping that if I start strong at the beginning of the year I can give myself a bit of room in my monthly targets for the summer, as work always eases up over the 6 weeks holidays so that I don't get a many payments for the next couple of months afterwards.Moving on up SPC #382 ~ £40 banked SPC #382 ~ £40 banked

I only started my emergency fund a few days before 2016 so im going to include it as 2016 savings to keep it simple. So im sat at £166.22 with a % of my pay instantly coming off on the 15th so will increase every month even when i have a bad month. I should be averaging £1,250 a month to hit the £15,000 overall goal. With a weather depending job i probably wont hit it this month or next(shorter hours plus we are more or less flooded!!) but iv thrown in an extra goal this year to save £2,500 at least one summer month - most likely July as iv put in 3 weeks paid holiday for then and will work at least a week of them so that will be highest earning month of the year.:eek:Living frugally at 24

Looks like everyone is off to a good start. At the moment I have put £1,300 into savings accounts (out of harm’s way!) which is a little short of my monthly goal but I hope to make it up by the end of the month. I have some money due me by the end of the month and I am having a very frugal January after a fairly frugal but happy Xmas and New Year. Good luck everyone !25/11 – 24/12 NSDs 4/30
