Bobobski- YNAB is driving me crazy! i watched the tutorials, signed up and realised that I'd been watching the old version tutorials so nothing makes sense with the new version! Im stuck though and maybe you could help? I've inputted all my accounts and the totals, my bills ect and its saying I have £6K to be budgeted....but I dont. This is the amount in my savings account and the only options available are to move it to other accounts or bills using the green tab at the top, but I dont want to! It's driving me mad, I much preferred the older version, thats was easy to get to grips with going by the tutorials- argh!!
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**

Yes! And in a very MSE way, I've cracked open the champers, y'know, to clear the cupboards... Anyone buying it?:D

I only started using it last night but yes I have the same problem! I've started a separate category (to be exact, it is called "Savings: House House House!") and have added my savings accounts there. So for example, for my FD RS I can make £300 "available" when my paycheque comes in but only pay it (well, a transfer between accounts) on 12th when the SO is set up. It is a two part process, i.e. a transfer between accounts and "spending" my £300 allowance, but it's the only way I can see how to do it.

Any other explanations would be welcome though!!

I'm having a problem linked to my CC use - I don't have enough money for this month because usually I'd spend my money on my CC. So do I accept that I will be in the red (literally on YNAB) this month, or add it to my CC but not touch my money to be budgeted?

I should also have said, the new tutorials were very good. Not sure about the old ones but you could ask questions and they did manage to answer some of mine.

If I understand what your saying, would it be better to do a manual adjustment? I did see a video that said if a transaction is too complicated (and our accounts dont 'reconcile' over here) then just manually adjust. Dont ask me how :D

And did you ask questions via the webinar? Ive signed up for tomorrow night, see if I can get some answers to this hell!
