Number 36 declaring £900 for July.
It would have been more but we went away for the weekend and took £250 as spending money.
Determined to beat £900 in August0 -
Just received my first (2nd quarter) dividend from the BP and RDSA shares I purchased earlier this year within my ISA allowance.
I had already achieved my £20k target earlier in the year, but have now reported (via the correct form) a further £1,257.00.
I automatically re-invested the amount by buying more BP shares.
For those who follow such things, my BP shares alone are already worth £8.5k more than the purchase price.
But to realise that profit I would have to sell the shares.
I am growing all my investments by re-investing all the profits.
Part of my retirement plan is to exist by taking less than 60% of my annual growth/yield (not the seed).
I believe my growth will exceed my withdrawals and the difference will carry on being re-invested until I need it, or die.
:beer:2016 : Realised £103,000.00 savings (banked)
2017 : Realised £97,000.00 savings (banked)
2018 : Realised £ savings (banked)
20.4% avg annual portfolio growth since 2004.

Excellent stuff ArmyDillo. I recently received my first ever dividends from my diversified ETFs, in my ISA, roughly 1 percent of the whole portfolio for the 2nd quarter. I am thinking of reinvesting annual initially as the sums are relatively small at present, so the proportion of trading cost is higher. I am still feeling odd that the value of pound has fallen and this boosting my portfolio value, don't know what to think at all.
I am curious what is ur investing strategy and what does ur portfolio look like??

Applied for two internal jobs in London, both are at a company that is another company within the Group I work for. I really hope they materialize, the roles are far more interesting that what I do now, I want to move to London anyway (friends up there, better social life) and the salary is better.
I fear that the EU referendum will make them longer to respond, and worst case scenario they might scrap the roles altogether due to Brexit.. I really hope that isn't the case though..
Happy saving everyone! Some inspiring posts as always!
Saved in June as below:
HTB - £200
Regular Saver - £410.38
Every month I put £223 away to my firm's sharesave plan, which I haven't been including in my monthly saved figure. But when I think about it, it should be included!
If I weren't saving the money into sharesave I would be saving in other places anyway.
Therefore, I'll be increasing my June figure by £223 to £833.38 (£610.38 + £223) and my saving outlook looks much better now!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Well I originally said £10k when I signed up a few months back but after going round in circles money wise since then I will take it down to £6k in the bank at end of year now. I'm back at 0 with bills paid for this month so next month will be first month of saving anything so bring it on!!Can now be found in the Millionaire Challenge thread :beer:0

Can I join in please? I'd love to save 12k this year, so far I've saved £7,817. Summer holidays are going to be low savings weeks as I have 3 children and like to spend most the time with them during school holidays so working will be minimum hours.
thanks x xBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi Slowyfading. Just noticed that my fig for June is incorrect on the spreadsheet. My fault as I sent the wrong fig in. My June savings were £340 not £190. I did post an email but it probably got overlooked. Sorry for any confusion:)
