Me too, please!
I need to review November's progress, though...0 -
Cannot believe we are nearly into December! It's a month to look forward to for me as I will start my new job. I also absolutely love the countdown to Christmas and, as most of my Christmas shopping is done, I'm looking forward to putting up the decorations and getting involved in lots of festive activities with the little ones. The first couple of weeks will be a bit hectic, as I am still working in my old job, whilst starting training in my new one, and running my pop up shop. But, hoping the extra income will make it worthwhile. Plus, it's only for a couple of weeks.
So, count me in please!0 -
I'm in... Not around on some days but it is December, so I suppose I'm not alone in that. Will be working out a budget and knuckling down to see where the quids go. Next February and March are busy for me so I need to rein in the spending as well.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I'm with you for December Misstara.
I can improve on NSDs, only managed 7 last month. Took lunch to work every day but 1 (my boss bought me lunch that day, win.) Budgets are set, meal plans done, I think I may be good to go.
My gratitudes are; the holidays coming up, OH's dad buying us dinner tonight and my 3- day-old smoking quit. :T:T:T
Thanks to applemuncher for last month's challenge, I loved it.If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
Dec already
I wasnt very good at posting last month, although i did do quite well. Managed to make way over the £80, and gave to charity etc.
I need to post more this month, as that got me my nsd's in October.
Budgets are set - ive even set all my annual bills for the first time, and started saving for them for 2016.
We booked a holiday yesterday for May. Its nowhere exotic (North Wales) but is something to look forward to. It will be paid off in Jan when i get my bonus, and is something for the whole family to look forward to. We've only had one weekend away this year, so it's going to be lovely and was not at all expensive
Today i am grateful for -
1. The nhs as dd has an appointment this morning with the doc.
2. My kitchen is full of lovely food
3. A healthy pregnancy check up yesterday afternoon.Still here..... but working on that!0 -

Hello all, is it too late to join for this month?
If not, I really need something like this to reign in my spending so that I can build an emergency savings pot / pay extra off my loan. But I seem to be struggling with Christmas spending vs keepig my savings in tact.
A lot of damage has been made to my savings in the name of Christmas already unfortunately but I need it to stop. I am annoyed at myself for undoing the good work I had put in.
So, hoping I can join, I have budgetted everything already for the rest of pay month so will spend today budgetting December instead, including the amount I will allow myself to spend on the rest of Christmas pressies - which will be much reduced.
A few big spends still due this month around the building work - plumber for heating and doors for privacy but they are covered by what is left of the loan I took out exactly for this kind of stuff so all okay thereApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
apple - thank you for running a fabulous challenge last month.
LSD - great to hear your pregnancy check up went well, not long to go now and we'll have another turtle baby.

OK so my December budgets are as follows:
Fuel £56.57/£75.00
Groceries £0/£350 - this included extra food and drink for Christmas
Water Bill £75.02
Kids activities £75
Debt £399.88
Entertainment £40
I have paid £399.88 off the debt today plus a further £60 last week, I will update my sig when the interest goes on. £50 has gone into our savings account, £100 into the car expenses account, I also paid £76.50 out for school trips and I have to pay £130 this week for music lessons. I put £86.50 into the EF. I have a £30 buffer in the account for small unexpected spends.
I received a £13 refund from DS's music school today and that has gone into the car expenses account. Christmas has been totally paid for without one single penny going on credit - this is the first time in a very, very long time I can say this.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
