If a dd is cancelled, at what point in the switching process is it too late for avron to object any more?

If I'm massively in credit and want to switch away, I would want to stop lining their pockets as soon as it was safe to cancel.

5 working days is allowed for losing Supplier to raise an objection plus one working day to resolve (i.e. to remove) the objection after it has been raised

There are time limits on objections but from posts on here it's virtually immediate. If you get a welcome message from the new supplier then there has been no objection.

Your posts often lean on the side of Avro, and whilst i'd always support a smaller supplier who is trying.... I think we can all see Avro are a shoddy operator with zero customer service who are long past the point of deserving anyone seeing their point of view!
Well, I've never had any unexpected problems with their CS and can only rely on posts on here as to their failings.
How often do we see posts indicating that, for whatever reason, their customers can't be bothered to complain and see it through to the Ombudsman. We, their customers, are our own worst enemies.
In the round, I doubt that Avro is any worse than most other suppliers. In the end you get what you pay for.

There seems to be a flurry of recent posts on the MSE forum regarding Avro. As a dip test... the relative small size of Avro compared to the recent posts I would suggest there's more grievances than they should warrant.

I'm really hoping that they don't resolve my issue and it gets to 8 weeks, I want to go to the Ombudsman and cost them as much money as I can!

I wish more of their customers would do the same. It's only by getting these complaints to where it counts that anything that needs to change will change. I confess that I would find many of the complaints on here to be irritating but few seem to be prepared to make an issue of it so the questionable practices will continue.

I wish you good luck with your complaint, if it comes to it. As far as I'm concerned it's the only way to get improvement.

Unfortunately when you see the chocolate teapot that is OFGEM supposedly has authority over these businesses, there is little to hope for if you have suffered a relatively minor loss/headache due to a supplier's actions.
Easiest solution is to find another supplier and remind yourself that you get what you pay for.

  • To avoid any possible doubt and/or issues, from Avro, I did reply to that e-mail confirming the switch. I received an automatic confirmation from them, that it had been received, with a reference number.
According to the prospective new supplier the switch is due to happen 30th June. Frying pan to fire!

Apologies if I have missed this info in an earlier post, but please can I ask those who are switching away from Avro, how soon after you initiated the switch away did you hear from the new provider that the switch was being blocked?

I initiated my switch away on the 1 June, the 1st payment and go live date being the 22nd June.  So far nothing from the new provider to indicate that there are any problems with the switch.  My last Avro statement (1st June) was showing a small debit balance.

    Thanks

Since you've heard from the new supplier, with a switch date, there has not been an objection.
