Moving into new house and need of broadband

Can I still claim even though I'm not technically switching?
Yes you can. The deal is for new customers which is what you are. So assuming Virgin services are available at the place you're moving to just go ahead and sign up.
Just make sure as you go along that it definitely states it's a 12 month contract and not the usual 18 months. Might also be a good idea to take a screenshot of the section which clearly states 12 month contract. Also check your contract before signing it when they send it to you by post.0 -
Really can't complain with (12x22.99) = £275.88 for the year or £22.99 for the month. It's a good speed too as you'd expect with Virgin and I myself since being with them through my parents can't fault the customer service.0

Can someone verify that the Sky one is £16.40 not £17.40?
The 12 month contract would be £196.80 which saves £79.08 on the Virgin offer. Yes the Virgin speed is better but 17mb is more than sufficient for my need.
Looks like this one would prove a better saving if I moved from Virgin.0 -

It's going up to £17.40 on December 1st.The 12 month contract would be £196.80 which saves £79.08 on the Virgin offer. Yes the Virgin speed is better but 17mb is more than sufficient for my need.
You may not get 17mb as that is the up to speed and only people close to the exchange will get that speed. For example the speed I get with Sky is 7mb. ADSL BB is very different to the BB with Virgin as it's dependent on distance from the exchange and is more subject to noise issues which can lower the speed.
Put your new address into this checker and tell us what it says you can get for ADSL and ADSL2+

You also need to check that Sky LLU services are available at your exchange. What exchange does the DSL checker say you will be on?Looks like this one would prove a better saving if I moved from Virgin.
You're not moving from anyone. You will be a new customer regardless.0 -
WBC ADSL 2+ Up to 17
ADSL Max Up to 7.50 -
Have you had a look at quidco / top cashback etc to see if there are any deals with cashback?PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0

Looks like they don't offer Virgin to my house!
The whole road has it but not mine as the house was built only a year ago. Bit of a bummer but no biggie.
Next best (IMO) is the Sky one:

I'd just be paying for line rental so cost per month is £17.400 -

You're far better using Topcashback or Quidco rather than uSwitch if you're going for the Sky deal.
Basically it's ;
"12 months free Sky Broadband Unlimited without TV plus a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, £100 M&S or Tesco e-voucher or £100 Prepaid MasterCard" plus another £73 cashback.
See http://www.topcashback.co.uk/sky-digital/
Ends to day though so get a move on.
Same deal is available on Quidco but £80 cashback instead of the £73 with Topcashback.

Thanks for your continued efforts with me!
Never really used Topcashback...my fiance has sent me an invite and I'm all logged on etc. What will this do if I click on Get Cashback. I'm assuming I just follow the links and buy as normal and I'll get the £73.50 in my cashback account to use on other things?
Is this more worthwhile that Uswitch because I get a hefty amount of cashback rather than just paying out per month and that's it?
When I click on the link it's saying monthly cost with offers is £16.40 and then £26.40 (I assume this figure is after the 12 months?)
Doing the math:
16.4 x 12 = £196.80 goes out my account in total by the end of the 12 months and I get £73.50 back into a Cashback account?
This makes the purchase worth £123.30 approx £10.28 a month for the broadband if I factor in the cashback.
Apologies if I'm coming across as a nab but this is the first real time I've thought about Topcashback.
**BT look like they're doing an even better deal with £126 cashback whatever that means? Is this even better for what I'm looking for which is essentially cheap broadband!! http://www.topcashback.co.uk/bt_total_broadband/?BACS=true&mpurl=bt_total_broadband&moid=1636780
