August grocery challenge Budget £150. Spent so far: £98.49. Remaining: £51.510 -
Good evening. Another NSD for me.
I get paid tomorrow so really excited about that. I was planning on hitting my overdraft with the full £500 however, as it's currently sitting at £1497.42 - I think I will pay just the £497.42 because I like well rounded numbers and would prefer my remaining overdraft balance to be £1000 rather than an awkward £997.42. I will put the extra £2.58 towards my Natwest credit card along with the usual £50 payment.
Hoping to get the overdraft to £500 in December and then £0 in January, then I can start attacking that Natwest Credit Card, grrr.

.
Maybe you should make it £999 then it will annoy you into paying down the 499 next month as you just cant stand it anymore :rotfl:

Yes! Psychologically, it would be so much better to see that overdraft under £1000 even if it is only to £999. However, I think the OCD in me wins out. I shall definitely be paying another £500 next month as well. In total this overdraft has three months to exist!EMERGENCY FUND £1644.03 / £3000 (55% SAVED)

Hello!
So first thing's first, I got paid today! Very happy about that. Fired off two quick payments to both the MBNA credit card and the Natwest credit card. The direct debit for the loan will be taken on the 26th as usual.
And now for the biggie! My overdraft is sitting at £1000 now. :j
Had to do a slight food shop. Total was £23.49. Not really worried though as it was well within my budget and it doesn't affect the amount I have planned to throw at debt in the slightest.
Really need to mention, chocolate is my biggest vice and I found a bar in Sainsburys from their basic range. 30p for 100g. I was quite dubious about the taste but I have just tried this and it's surprisingly good! I'm well chuffed! It's a lot more budget friendly then buying bars of Lindt and Green & Blacks!EMERGENCY FUND £1644.03 / £3000 (55% SAVED)
