HONESTLY. Once I get back from this London trip, I really do need to curb my mindless gorging. I've gone up a dress size since Christmas! A whole dress size!
I'm going to start walking to work and eating fruit for breakfast and I'm only going to allow myself coke on the weekends. I'm not going to have Nando's every other week. I'm not going to buy food based treats on Treat days. Buying cake ingredients instead of an actual cake may be money savvy but making a dozen cupcakes and eating the lot in two days isn't very healthy! There's an emotional eater and then there's me. Ugh, I wish I could pay someone to follow me around and slap the food out of my hands.
To be fair, I'm still only a size 14. But the upsetting thing is, before I started this awful job (a year and a half ago) I used to be a size 10. This job really is affecting my health. I should just pack it all in, fly off to Thailand and teach yoga to Americans looking for inner peace. Or something.
Tonight I feel ... dramatic. And maybe a little desperate. I've just spent the last hour trawling through Totaljobs.com while drinking (just a glass!) of wine and scarfing down Monster Munch. There is nothing. Well, that's a lie. There are plenty of jobs. I just can't afford to apply for something that pays less. I can't even afford to go part time in the horrid job I'm in..

So my London trip was fantabulous! I'm proud of sticking to a budget. I tend to throw all caution to the wind when I go out of town - especially to London - for a show or a concert, etc.
Since I got back, things have been pretty quiet. There's been no unnecessary spending but then again, there has been no Ebaying or money-making either. The last few bits and bobs can go to a charity shop. I had them listed before and they haven't sold.
I joined a library nearby as well. I haven't stepped foot in one since .... I was in school. I really don't want to keep buying books so this is a good alternative.
I have also made a few deposits into my funds. Thanks to sticking to my budget in London, over-budgeting in general and surplus funds left over from my bonus and pay rise, I had extra money sitting my current account - which is a very dangerous place for money to sit. And so, I moved it to my savings accounts.
I have met my target for my car fund. I can't believe I managed to do this in four months. My target was by August. :j :j :j
Just the emergency fund to go now. Then I can start throwing all I have at the debt. Speaking of which, as my first repayment as gone out, I really should put a mention of it in my signature ...
I think I will treat myself to a good old Krispy Kreme tomorrow for completing my 1200 car fund.EMERGENCY FUND £1644.03 / £3000 (55% SAVED)
