Is that amount in your sig, the latest debt total?
I went back to your first post to see when the thread was started, (because I've been following you since then) which was just over 2 years ago. You posted your SOA:
According to that, and the amount in your sig, your debt has increased to nearly double what you owed then.
You clearly still haven't had your lightbulb moment.
Not sure how supportive this post is, particularly the last bit. What happened to being supportive to one another?Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0 -
Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday, the once in a lifetime type. What a wonderful experience that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Now time to crack on with that debt, we have similar figures and we both have the same DFD target. Will subscribe to cheer you on from the sidelines. The only thing I will say is to try and post a little more often, I find it gives me more of a kick if I make an effort to post here regularly.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0 -
People can't say "Yay, you're doing well" when the opposite is true. People made suggestions, but they were always batted back. So her debt has doubled in two years, instead of being able to have at least made a good dent in it, if she couldn't clear it completely.
There are plenty of threads on this forum where people have been told they haven't had their lightbulb moment. Until she has that, she'll continue to rack up debt, justifying her spending to herself.1 -
I’m sorry but what suggestions were made that have been battered back? I think I’ve always taken people’s advice with an open mind.Virgin Money £0/£1445

I hope 2018 is the year you manage to shift that debt. I think most of us would understand that there has to be a balance between living and repaying debt but at some point the debt will need to be repaid or you are just paying more interest to banks making clearing it that much harder. I too aim to be debt free by Xmas 2018 and am booked for Florida this May! Any recommendations for spending money? We're two twentysomethings staying in a villa. Park tickets, car rental etc already paid for and we're staying 2 weeks.
Im so jealous! Your going to have the most amazing and magical time. Honestly not a day goes by that I don't want to quit my job and go and live life like a Disney Princess.
It sounds like your really organised. When you get there I would go to Walmart and buy your food as its cheap as chips the one thing I would say is the price you'll see isn't the price you'll pay as they add on the sales tax at the very end. In Florida there is a MASSIVE discount outlet store which sells everything and anything I would stock up on your clothes there. I managed to get the OH 4 pairs of levi jeans for like $120 after the sales tax and I bought loads of make up.
Im paying interest on the C1 card and the 0% BT on the Barclay card runs out at the end of Feb but I have been able to move the balances onto another 0% CC for 14 months (plus I done it via TCB so managed to get £21.00 in the process!).
Today is my last working day of 2017 and honestly its been a struggle Im the only person in the office and have been left so much work to do I feel like Im drowning (so that's why Im sitting updating my diary) I just realised by swapping all my jobs my income has changed from the orginal SOA (also best FM ever moved out) so I'll post a new one in the new year.
My driving instructor says Im only 10 hours or so from being test ready so it will be good to have my own independence rather than either getting taxis or having to beg people for lifts.
Was trying to round my bank account down and pay something to the TSB CC but I pressed the wrong button and accidentally paid £26.54 oh well!Virgin Money £0/£1445
