Hi Megano, I could do with some advice. My finances have hit the fan and I will need to temporarily get a part time job, I may be working 7 days a week.

    How do you do it?

Do you have any advice about surviving?

I think your doing epic Florence! In terms of advice there are days when Im tempted to throw myself down the stairs to get a day off :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but my 1 piece of advice I would give is remember every hour extra your working is an investment in your future (why i can't tell myself this when I need to go to the gym I'll never know!)
Be honest with yourself - if you can't manage then dont do it otherwise it will have a massive impact emotionally, mentally.
If you ever need to rant I'm always here to listen :):):)

So now Im playing the waiting game for the befriender place (the NEW W3!) the references have been handed in and now its just a case of waiting for my PVG coming through which should be in the next few weeks. After going backwards and forwards over the old W3 (and after numerous conversations with anyone who would listen) we agreed it would be best to send the "its not you, its me" message and I've left.
The manager said he would keep my job open and if I ever change my mind he'll give me the shop back.

Recently Ive been really nervous about the Florida trip. Like Ive always wanted to go and it was super sweet of OH buying the tickets but recently Ive been having panic attacks at the thought of being up in the sky so long and my anxiety is making me imagine all sorts of awful things (from airplanes crashing into each other, crashing into the see and my personal favourite was what if we crash into a mountain *I didn't even know there was mountains in the Atlantic Ocean* :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) so after loads of restless nights and panic attacks, i swallowed my pride and went to the doctor who has put me back on my OCD medication - his option is its not a fear of flying but a trigger for my OCD. So fingers crossed the meds will kick in and it won't ruin our holiday.

W1 has been crazy! We are so so far behind its awful. Whats really annoying me is Im offering to work all the overtime under the sun so we rant playing catch up and its getting turned down. It's like folk haven't realised what we don't do today s still going to be there tomorrow plus more. I'm kind sick of being the only person that cares.

In good news even with the debt Ive decided to learn to start learning how to drive and Ive booked in for my every 1st lesson on Thursday! the fastest Ive ever "driven" before was 15mpbs for like 300 meters in a straight line!

    Lord I can't believe I went MIA for a whole month! :eek::eek::eek::eek:

In terms of debt busting I may have fallen off the wagon a little bit - as far as I'm aware the overall amount hasn't increased but I really haven't been as proactive as I normally am.

So a couple of things to report:
I gave up the bookies so until I get my start date at the befriender Im officially a 2 job person which is a bit of a unique experience!
About the befriender job I needed to get a PVG at the cost of £60, well it looks like I applied for the wrong one :rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek: so I need to apply for another one at another cost of £60! Until that comes through I can't get my start date which is a little frustrating.
In terms of W1 its just the usual merry-go-round that it always is one minutes they are throwing overtime at you as if its going out of fashion and then the next there is none going.

Okay Im back on the wagon - lets get this debt down!

Glad you're back Megano, nice to hear from you. Try not to fret about debt from a month to month basis but look at what you have achieved this year already and what you will go on to achieve this year. I really think I should take my own advice sometimes as I have had a bad month for debt busting too, but we will both get there.

I have returned from Florida (which was all sorts of amazing! I really just want to quit my job and go live in the Magic Kingdom forever. I think I would make a wonderful Disney Princess.) and after we came back from Florida we had our German wedding which we were asked to attend. That wasn't AS good because 1) I never met the bride and groom before in my life and 2) I don't speak a word of German so couldn't understand anything.

The balance is at the highest its ever been £7821.58 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: so this year's debt free dream has taken a little bit of a back footer but Im certain a billion percent I'll be clear before December 31st 2018 (if not before then)

So welcome back and I hope not to bore everyone

Is that amount in your sig, the latest debt total?
I went back to your first post to see when the thread was started, (because I've been following you since then) which was just over 2 years ago. You posted your SOA:
    Unsecured Debts
    Description....................Debt......Monthly.. .APR
    Capital One....................800.......26.7......30
    Overdraft......................2400......65....... .19.9
    HMRC...........................440.......10....... .0
    Total unsecured debts..........3640......101.7.....-

According to that, and the amount in your sig, your debt has increased to nearly double what you owed then.
You clearly still haven't had your lightbulb moment.

Yeah it’s almost double which is frustrating but it’s because of various different reasons anyway 2018 is the year. I can feel it :)
