Megano,
Fellow diary stalker here! I've tried my own diary but fail to keep it up.... We'll done on that front!!
Would you mind me asking what your W2 is as it's a work from home role? Always looking at ways to earn extra pennies!
Keep up the good work!0 -

So another user suggested I do another SOA using a website. (I thought mine was pretty cool as well) but here it goes: Rough example version 2
Points to note
- Yes there are 3 folk living in my household however Im not going to ask my FM to help pay my debt and the OH is paying his own debt so what he earns he keeps and vice versa
- This is my share of what I need to pay
- My wages in W1 have been wrong since I started and W2 is paid for by the hour £6.50 before tax (I pay BR tax on W2:mad::mad: so a deduction of 20%)
- This include the payment to the bank of mum.

There is some conflict in the household. OH said to me in a very serious tone that we need to get new bowls as the current bowls we have are too shallow at the bottom which means he has a mixture of crunchy and soft weetabix in the morning, as the weetabix are standing:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
These 7am shifts are killing me (everyone in the office is on an 8 week rota, last week I was working from 10.30 > 8, this week 7am until 3 and next week 2.30 until 11 :eek::eek::eek:)
So Im finding myself being held hostage by my bed this morning (negotiations are still in talks for the rest of the week :P) resulting in me having to get a taxi. Amazingly the same journey has went up 50p in the space of 24 hours maybe its inflation or something and *cough* I also spent £2.05 on a bottle of juice and a caramel at lunch*
No overtime again at W1, they are doing a MASSIVE recruitment drive which is good because it means you can breath between calls but bad because there is now no overtime available *sigh* however a shift at W2 starts at 6.
FM is staying at her boyfriends tonight so OH and I are thinking of going to the cinema (we both have cinema cards which he pays for) to see the hunger games.
Got my "other" income today of £470. I know I want to pay of the Artist £70 and half of what I owe to the bank of mum £125 meaning I'll have £275 left. Part of me is wanting to give £200 to the beast (8 sessions for £200 or 12 for 300) and then £75 on the CC but the other part of me is wanting to put it aside for Christmas. Kindof wish I got paid everything all at once rather than bits and bobs here and there.
Seen a thread about making a payment to your debts everyday. Which seems pretty cool but Im wondering how CC will take me rounding my change to the nearest pound in my bank account.

Hey! Ive tried to reply but I think I might have sent you a million blank messages! Megano vs Technology it will always win.
Quick update on the "other funds" turns out I got more than was expecting and acctually got £480
which means
BOOM Painting paid for - goodbye, adios
Half BOOM - Bank of Mum - half gone (will be cleared this month)
£200 to the Beast
and £50 to good old capital one which means *drum roll*
I still have £50 from it (and Ive not been paid from either of my jobs yet!) do I put that towards the OD? Or leave it so I know Im not leaving my bank balance at 0 (after all a girls got to buy chocolate and a bottle of juice :A:A:A)Virgin Money £0/£1445

Hi Megano ,
Sounds like you've got shop and scan all worked out, a doubler sounds DELICIOUS!!
Can you get your groceries spending down any? I have just over£200 for 2 adults, 1 kid and 4 cats, and we eat pretty well. This includes toiletries and cleaning stuff too.
Also, when is your phone contract due for renewal? Perhaps you could go sim only and cut that bill in half?PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -
Hi Megano, I've just realised I need to sort my debts out too
. Good luck!

This is defo a "one step back" "what was I thinking" post but that's okay. If it was easy everyone would be debt free.
This morning the alarm goes off at 6.10, I look outside the window and it is BUCKETING it down. I was like "Megano there aint no way in hell I'm walking in that" plus the OH was still in bed looking all comfy, and I wanted warm hugs before work. I guess what I'm trying to say is I got a taxi *cough* again *cough* and the fare has went up AGAIN! I swear the next time I'm on this rota the price is going to be like £20:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Its also the OH's mum's birthday (did I just murder grammer?) she LOVES fresh flowers so I ordered a £31.50 bunch but because I didn't order them yesterday there was a £7.95 charge added on top so she gets them today :eek: (trust me we ain't even at the rest of the nightmare) this was a "okay" purchase as 1) I'm getting £20 back from the OH and 2) I used TCB making a tiny credit of £6.18 (of course I did. I love that site, infact all my Christmas shopping came through that last year)
So I'm sitting at work1, minding my own business and I get a SCREAMER on the phone. Literally shouting down the phone at me and no matter how much you really want to say jog on you have to be like "I understand" "I'm sorry you feel that way" meanwhile this guy is giving me all sorts of verbal abuse, calling me personally every name under the sun (the day before he phoned up and made someone in the office cry who has now handed in her notice. I understand "companys" are annoying but folk like me are just sitting doing our jobs. Getting the front line abuse) after an hour of shouting at me he hangs up. It was then my break and I [STRIKE]wanted ][/STRIKE] needed a doubler and a bottle of juice and a wispa *defo comfort eater* came to £3.05
I forgot my pack lunch meaning I got abused by Tes-co's again the sum of £4.60
Then I was told as I'm owed time back off work (due to being stuck on a call passed my shift) I would be leaving the office at 1.30. (hurray?! I think.....) it was still raining so I jumped in a taxi (gets worst a black one) = £6.20
So I lifted out £20.00 this morning and I have £1 infront of me
^paid for the flowers using debit card^
So yeah.....that's my day:o:o

I'm afraid to say when it comes to the food shop I take very little infact nothing to do with it (the the only one part of the budget where I put my head firmly in the sand) as I HATE (with a passion) food shopping. Online or instore I cant stand it therefore its the OH's responsibility and its his only one. I raised this with him last night and accused me of being a fussy eater. I never got to a size 18 by being fussy!
I just changed my plan back in September but I get unlimited minutes, texts and 10GB of data. I use to work with EE so I get 30% discount for life (left there in 2009 a month before they changed the discount t+c's to say you have to be an active employee :T:T:T) It use to be 50% off but since EE took over its gone down to 30%. I'm stuck with what to do, W1 have got an agreement with Vodafone saying you can get 1 sim FOC for the duration of the contract providing your an active employee it sounds great but I'm not sure I want to be in this job for life. Whilst the other promotion lasts providing I stay with EE if that makes sense? Also because of this deal it means I can get internet with Vodafone and only pay the line rental. I said this too the OH and he was like "woops just changed to sky" but apparently we are getting free broadband there also as part of an existing customer promo so I guess its 6 and half a dozen.Virgin Money £0/£1445

And my day has managed to get worse - :rotfl::T:rotfl:
Basically I started W1 a couple of months ago and since the day I started Ive had problems with my wages. Wrong amount, wrong tax codes, wrong name and this month is no different
Not only have I been put on the wrong tax code (AGAIN:mad::mad::mad:) but the whole department got paid a shortfall of £125 so this month after tax Im walking home with £1209.99 and the budget is saying there is not enough for Christmas (the OH and I wanted to put £200 each) as I used the *other* funds paying the !!!!!! debt. (Well most of it..still the bank of mum to finalist)
Choices to I wait until my xmas wage (on the 22nd of Dec) to buy presents or do I pop it on the CC? (Rock and hard place spring to mind)
*Advise really welcome here guys. If I wait 1) I wont be able to buy online 2 ) theres no guarantee it will be fixed. You know how when your tidying a room it gets messier before the final result maybe finances is the same :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Im NOT asking the bank of Mum. Im getting off that merry-go-round
Then I got thinking in the last 2 days Ive paid £225 towards debts okay looking back I shouldnt have paid the BEAST but live and learn. I might be able to make a "token" payment of £50.00 to the CC on top of the min payment so its not all that bad.
Not really that great but it could be a LOAD worst.
All I want from W1 is to say "Okay Megano. If you do your job each month you will leave with XXX after tax" but so far its been a bit of a marathon. The guy did promise me it would be fixed by next month, the exact same as the women said the month before and the guy I spoke to the month before that.Virgin Money £0/£1445

Megano, is your job salaried or hourly paid? You might have already tried this but there is a site called the salary calculator and it shows you all the deductions and your take home pay.... Would that work for you and give you a baseline to work to?
If you're sure you'll have the money for it as you've budgeted effectively, I don't ser the harm in putting it on the credit card.0
