Thread on Shawbrook here; being slow seems to be a theme:

As a previous poster said; it hardly seems worth the hassle for the slight uplift in interest you might get. e.g. an extra 0.25% interest on £10,000 equates to £25 a year less some for however long your money is uninvested while moving it.0 -
That's what I said, at the beginning.Thread on Shawbrook here; being slow seems to be a theme:

I'm nearly at the end, but, they still keep making stupid errors.
I've had two more letters yesterday, after posting above;;;, that's 5 in total to verify my Nominated Ac, which I, have done twice now, and been told all is ok,they have done it?
Internal messages galore, too many people dealing with it;
Another waiting for me to open as I type???
I paid and sent my own verification, before they sent me a letter, had to get the Address off Snowbelle,on here, now umpteen SAO's, and letters.:
Wouldn't surprised if Postie doesn't drop another today:(
There are other letter arriving, and other problems.
I sent 2 testers for San123 a\cs as well, they couldn't verify either of these, and they cannot even return these Electronically, but, sent letters saying they have been returned, not yet they haven't?
God knows what they are going to be like at returning funds at the end of the term?
I started this thread to see what they were like before I moved, feedback at first was ok.If I had read your posted thread, I would not have bothered.
.
Seems a mixed up bank. They certainly don't try and Verify Electrically, as if they did, mine would have passed, 57 years with Hsbc,, and it is on my latest Credit File.,and there are no searches by Shawbrooks?? I've looked.
I really wish I had just rolled it over with Close Bros, a far superior Bank, none of this hassle.
I have another couple of Bonds With Close to renew soon, I think I will just roll them over now.0 -
I always do a small tester amount to any new account for the same reasons above.
Very wise.
I once requested a finance investment company pay me by direct transfer as was an option.
They required a copy of a recent bank statement original showing the account number etc as well as me filling in the account number/sort code on the form.
.......and they still manged to get it wrong and send it to the wrong account.
The speed as which the error was 'fixed' with the correct sum then sent to the correct account was was quite remarkable!0 -
When SB said they had returned my £9999 to my Ac,for no explanation as to why, it did not show.ChiefGrasscutter wrote: »Very wise.

They then said it wasn't sent, was in their Ac, appending?
Then it was retrieved back from my Ac????????
Next day it was back in my Ac.
Methinks it went to someone else's Ac.
All I'm bothered about, is it's back in mine.0
