shawbrook fixed bonds

Hi Guys, anyone got Shawbrook bonds.?
I'm looking at the 18 month or 2 year fixed.
Missed the Metro 18 month.
Is Shawbrook like Metro, having to open a deposit A/c to fund the bond, or, is it like Close Bros, just directly into bond, via electronic, or cheque.?

    You just need to link a bank account to it and you can pay either electronically or by cheque.

    hi Snowbelle.
    I!ve opened my account and want to fund it.
    can I fund it from several a/cs
    or just from my nominated a/c?
    I!ve sent £1 testers from 4 a/cs, via fast payment, but, it can take till end of the day before it shows?
    mY linked a/c is HSBC, only allows £10k per day, hence several a/c,s.and no cheque,to reach them
    Before it,s pulled.£45k in total.
    Cannot see in faq,s about funding from only nominated a/c.

    I have opened a number of bonds with Shawbrook and am quite impressesd. You need to fund the account with your nominated bank account and can make a number of transfers from this account for up to a week. The payments tend to show on my Shawbrook online banking after a couple of hours.

    Thanks buffman.
    I found the info, but , wasn't clear.section 8, after I'd been to Specsavers, :)
    I sent 4 x £1's from 4 different A/cs,( before I found section 8):( one being my nominated A/c, HSBC, and they all showed up, 8 hours after sending them.
    I sent £9999 from HSBC at 2130 last night, and it's still not showing in the bond.
    Not good for fasterpayments.
    HSBC didn't send it till today, after midnight, so, eliminating another £10k today..PAIN.Why I don't know?
    I should have nominated one of my SAn 123 A/c,s, not, HSBC.
    their £10k daily limit is C**p, in this day and age.
    Makes it hard to fund a bond with a time limit ;
    Get there in the end, unless they pull it before I fully fund it, 5 days at £10k a day

    Might be better changing my nominated A/c to San 123, which has the funds in.
    BUT, I'm not sure how much San123 allows to be paid out per day.
    Anyone know???
  • I have opened a number of fixed rate bonds with Shawbrook found them to be very good no problems, and the interest rate is better than most.

    I really don't know what they are playing at. I sent a £1 tester from my nominated ac, when the ac was opened and another £9999 today. The £9999 is not showing , they have sent an internal message saying my nominated Ac cannot be verified, ?
    Now they want verification of Ac. It's 50 years old, it's not on any of my credit refs, too old.
    I can send a cheque, but, until they confirm my £9999, i'm loathe to send any more. They should not have opened the A/c until they verified my nominated a/c, and allowed me to transfer money electronically.
    46 a/cs I have, and never a problem, until now.
    their faster payment is a joke.It should be instant;
    The post would be quicker.
    I'm waiting for a reply, but, I will phone them later, if my £9999 doesn't show up in my a/c with them.:beer:
    EDIT;;Just phoned whilst logged in ,and she confirmed the £9999 was in, but it wasn't showing on mine, then it magically appeared..
    Very pleasant though.

    I paid into the bond from my linked account then received a letter to verify my bank account. It stated unless they receive evidence within 14 days they will return all monies to the account they came from. I've never had this before.

    What sort of time delay should there be before Shawbrook have the funds because they are 75 K each
