  • Hi I'd like to join this challenge :j (Never done a challenge before)

    The debts I'd like to pay off are:-

    Barclay Card = £560.14
    Overdraft = £1,434.02
    Capitol One = £1,380 (The actual ballence is £2,761.70 but I'm going for a more realistic half of that)

    Total = £3,374.16 :eek: (Gulp)

    Wish me luck!!
  • I'd like to join this challenge as well. I have been doing the grocery challenge, and that has gone better than I expected, so will give this a try. I like the idea of a debt-free Christmas too, so I am intending to start organising presents etc. Any advice welcome - I will read the Christmas thread as well when I have a mo. Thank you Emily for this thread - great idea.

    It would be really good to start the New Year with these three zapped, no painful January hangover feeling and be able to benefit from those sales for once!

    Good luck to everyone, I am going to put my thinking cap on as to how to pay off these debts.

    Hi everyone, haven't posted for a while.............have been trying to pay off overdraft but slow progress. DH and I worked out budget to clear over the next 2 months so should be clear by Dec 1st. However might be earlier if I can sell the snooker table and should be getting a Nintendo Wii in the next few weeks so I'll stick that on Ebay.

    Elec and Gas are going down with regular payments but will pay off in Dec.

    Ev x
  • Hi All!!I have found it difficult the past week or so too-kids have ended up costing more than i had budgeted for [no change there eh?] DS and i are attempting the car boot tomorrow and i will have to pay DD swimming lessons for school out of it ,the rest will go to pay Next.I am applying for a new job next week as well ,not loads more money really but i am REALLY bored in my job and want a new challenge[must have challenges on the brain lol!!!]
  • well I made the grand total of £17 at the car boot today. I will pay it off of M&S card during the week. It was such a horrible, wet and cold day I was just miserable and packed up after 2 hours. Oh well I got rid of a lot of treasure lol
