I do have wifi at home but it's switched off - it makes me ill so we just use cables instead

I don't disbelieve what you're saying but Home Wi-Fi uses the same part of the spectrum that other devices use and have done for years - Cordless phones, baby monitors, garage door openers, Bluetooth devices, car alarms, microwave ovens, TV senders - to name but a few.

If Wi-fi does make you sick am I to presume you don't have any of the above?

It's called a nocebo - the opposite of a placebo. Numerous studies have shown that individuals who claim they suffer from Electromagnetic hypersensitivity cannot tell when EMF is present, or not, from their symptoms. The placebo effect can be very strong, so I imagine the opposite would also be true, in making someone feel ill.

But the world takes a mix of people to make it go round, and if it isn't hurting anyone, I don't see the issue
  • I don't do much scientific reading since I've realised that for each scientific study there is another one stating directly the opposite. I feel much better since getting rid of microwave, cordless phone, wifi etc from the house so I'm going to stick with it. Incidentally, the biggest EMF culprit in the house was not the router but the cordless phone.

You're probably passing on your psychosis to your child then. Do a blind-trial with someone turning on a wifi router, and not, without your knowledge of its state.. then see if it really makes you feel bad.

I do like the idea of living without the beeps and bops that my electrical devices make through out the day.

...and never leave the house either.

The world is awash with radio waves from VLF through to microwaves. None have any proven adverse health effects.

No there isn't. As your head is firmly in the sand I doubt whether you're in any danger from EMF.

I'm looking for a tablet that can be connected to the internet via a cable.
Alternatively, a tablet that my DC would be able to use in airplane mode. I read some tablets want you to be connected or the apps may not work properly.
    Thanks.

What does 'DC' stand for ?
