) No matter what we try, can't shift them. Will prob have to get an exterminator,
Snap traps... kill the beasties... they have a homing sense of miles so humane traps are a waste of time. If you don't have pets that might eat them put poison down.. take kick boards off and push poison under kitchen units to the wall and put boards back for example.. its not nice but you cannot have the dirty beasties dashing about your home pooping etc..
exterminators will just put down traps and poison. traps can be bought in bulk so you can just bin the trap and corpse if you don't want to reuse.. and put peanut butter or chocolate on the traps.. squeakers cannot resist!
If all else fails.. borrow a cat! and be glad they ain't ratties!!

Evening all :hello:

Hope you stay dry Dizzy.
Glad to hear you feeling well enough to think about returning to work CY :T
Lots of big squishy hugs Bossy coming your way
Happy Monday: Kitchen
Grab a bag or box and pop everything that doesn't belong in the kitchen in here.
Put away all the stuff that does belong here.
Work your way round the counters - give it a really good clean, right into the corners and under any small appliances.
Shine the sink.
Wipe down the cupboard fronts and kick boards.
Clean out the toaster - too many crumbs is a fire hazard!
Shine a window or some tiles.
Pop a wash on.
Wander round the house depositing items from the box or bag you filled earlier, in their rightful homes.
Extras:
Do you have a fire blanket or other emergency aid?
Wipe down the outside of the kitchen door.
Run the WM and/or DW on a hot wash to keep its insides happy
Have a peek in the fridge to see what needs to be used up.
Hugs for all, spoons if needed and sticks (especially big one for LW)
Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

well I am here..
beds made; DS's room fit for return
tomorrow I am banking some PTA money
Collecting new specs - mine have been 'lost' for a month (two items went missing at the same time so I have a sneaky feeling they were not actually lost but probably thrown away or filched somehow)

I'm in this week, house is in need so must be more organised and just get on with it.0 -
Morning all. Welcome robberbutton.
So far this morning I have prepared a chicken casserole which is now in the slow cooker, washed up, dusted the dusty bits in the living room and had breakfast (dogs too). Next is getting dressed and walking the dogs via the docs to drop a prescription request off.
Thanks for the list Bossy. Not sure that I'll have time this morning as I have an early start at the paid stuff.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all. I'm in. Thanks for last week Natty
Thanks for this week bossy Take it easy this week. There are virtual ((hugs)) on demand on here.
New dog flap in. It's more robust than the last. And seems to be letting out less heat which is great.
Guest very polite (i.e ate everything put in front of him and didn't want to stay up all night). Left with DH 0700, so I've cleared up. Just the sheets to go on.
Christmas baking/cooking done. Cake and Puddin fed. Today I have my first interval run of my 10k training. Dreading it. But at least its treadmill not outside (absolutely tipping it down but I still have the dog to walk:eek:
6 months today. Feeling great, and its wonderful to see DH so relaxed. I know its not a lot compared to everyone on here fighting real illness and disaster but its made a huge difference to a lot of my family.
OK. Off to walk the furry beast and then attack the kitchen before the bus.
(((hugs))), and spoons as required. Sticks by the back door. Give them a real heave:DGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Morning folks x
Thank you for the list Bossy. Thinking of you this week x
Thank you Natty for the last one. x
I have cleaned a windowsill, jewelry box and a key as Miss Muddy Paws had deposited her breakfast over them as a surprise.
My back is very stiff and painful this morning so I will be trying to sort that out so gently flying only.
Ds2 was banging his head on the sofa last night so I will ring school to warn them.
Off to find my list x0 -
Morning all.
Hope you and yours are all safe after the "high tide", Dizzy.
Welcome robberbutton.
Well done Dusty for completing your report.
I'm posting my list in detail in order to get my head round exactly what I have got to do and when the deadlines are, and will revisit periodically to update. That way, I might achieve a bit more today than I have managed recently! Currently everything is written down on scrappy bits of paper, and I need to be able to see what I've got to do at a glance...
