Afternoon all, After a lovely family lunch everyone has now gone home and so i'm sat here with a cuppa & catching up on here before loading the dishwasher again!!
Today's small things
:happyhear We had a lovely little lie in this morning as the kids were at my parents
:happyhear Picked up ds2 to take him to an extra (free) swimming lesson (his teacher wanted to try him out in the next class up before we pay for the next course, to see if he could keep up, which he did
:happyhear Didn't take purse with me, so I didn't use the vending machine
:happyhear Family lunch using up some bendy vegs
:happyhear Had loads of custard (to use some of the ys milk we got last night) to go with our apple pie
:happyhear Was talking with my mum about the fact we were missing a couple of charger plugs, she's offered to send me her spare one
:happyhear Sister popped to 02 to see if she could pick up the freebie but none available
:happyhear Sorted out with family what our xmas plans are.
:happyhear My dad was saying that he needed to buy a new gym bag, we have spare so saved him some money
and got rid of something
:happyhear No sandwiches to make for the boys tomorrow as they have an inset day
I'm sure there's more but the dishwasher has finished so I better get on

Hi all, afternoon!
Such a sad weekend hearing about the going on's in the world
Sorry I've been AWOL for a while, work has been offering me lots of overtime so I've been doing as much as I can whilst still having a life!
Today I've been out for a coffee with friends and a look around the shops, didn't buy anything, go me!
So now I'm home, I'm going to:
- Check Ebay sales, maybe put a few other bits on
- Check Surveys - I haven't done any for ages!
- Check Swagbucks - Again this hasn't been done for ages!
- Check bank account - Ouch
- Check food shop account - Ouch, card got declined in Asda today!
Have a lovely Sunday evening all!

Hi All,
I’ve been MIA for the past couple of months, but it is time to get back into the debt busting ways, and get rid of my debts for the last time (I have had a couple of LBM’s recently – one major one about my appearance, but that is something for another time – there is an unflattering photo of me on my companies LinkedIn page – the photographer didn’t quite understand about airbrushing!).
I hope everyone is well, despite awful recent events. I will eventually catch up with the gossip on here. Hello to all the regulars and newbies since I last posted here.
Yesterday I:
• Breakfast and dinner from stores – well, hubby did buy pizza for lunch yesterday, but I convinced him to drop a brand. From tesco rustic to tesco normal
• Popped into town yesterday, parking in a council car park close to the banks
• Decided to bank the cash that was in my large coke bottle – this is my new York fund, but it is better to pay this towards my credit card and owe the money to myself when I am debt free
• Found out the details of an account I have at Barclays – I opened it a while ago and have never used it. So I have ordered cards, pins, online access etc so I can use this for car expenses (and build up my credit rating)
• I have geekily found out how much I have knocked off my credit card by making the overpayment – 2 months !
• Left town after the hour I had paid for and went to the local shopping centre for the bits n bobs I needed from Tesco
• Signed up to the sealed pot challenge
• Covered my coffee tin in a sheet of wrapping paper, which is cheaper than buying a sealed pot – and it kind of looks nice sat on the bookcase
• Put more wrapping paper on the top and the neck of my coke money bottle – I will unwrap both and see how much I have next year
• Watched a film on sky rather than going out
Today I have/will:
• Meals from stores
• Read papers online
• Need to make soup for work this week
• Need to update my signature with goals, totals etc
• Need to make a note of important dates for next year – renew car tax, insurance etc…..
• Need to make a note of who owes me for things I have bought from work
• Need to look into getting the backup to getting the letters after my name – I completed my AAT qualification in August, and have been meaning to do this ever since
• I need to get together my receipts so I can log my expenses tomorrow
• I have managed a NSD !!!
• Watching things on the sky box as it is too cold to g out (and I will only spend money)
• Charged my mobile from the TV
• Need to have an early night as I need to be in work early tomorrow
Think that is my lot for today. Take care

We decided yesterday to turn the heating on, we have set it to 15 degrees but only a couple of hours a day in each room, but at different times of day depending on which room. So far it hasn't come on downstairs and only for a short while in the bedrooms as it soon got up to temperature. If anybody feels they would like it warmer we have jumpers, blankets, slippers. We also have the stove in the living room which we will use but not every day only when we need it and we are likely to be in to get the benefit of it.
Last night we tried out a new recipe which both myself and OH loved but neither child enjoyed
While the accompanying brown rice was cooking we needed to keep the dinner on a low heat to keep it hot, OH had the thought of putting it on top of our stove, worked perfectly and saved us some gas especially as we were burning free fuel
Earlier in the week I picked up some YS good quality teacakes which we have all enjoyed and dd has loved, she ate the last one for her breakfast this morning, she asked me if I could buy her some more I explained that we had only had those as they had been reduced normally the would of been out of our budget, she accepted this but then OH said he would have ago at making some, one very happy girl. He has make the first batch of teacakes, look and smell good, I'm just waiting to be able to sample them. Once we have all given our verdict he will tweak the recipe if needed to give us our families perfect teacake. I am truly blessed to share my life with such and loving and talented man

Evening Sunday Savers,
Just a few things today:
*Really enjoyed looking around 2 more festive craft & food fairs. Only bought cheese (from yesterday's grocery underspend - good dates, so have stashed at back of fridge for Christmas).
*Free coffee at 1st fair - NT loyalty card.
*Free hot mulled cordial & mince pie each at 2nd Fair.
*Dinner in slow cooker - a ys beef shank. Have cooked lamb shanks, ham hocks etc, but never a beef shank. Cheap find, so thought it was worth a try.
*Read energy meters & update spreadsheets.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Load washer for overnight laundry on cheap tariff.
*Covered next year's garlic crop with insect mesh to prevent a return visit of the dreaded allium leaf miner, which has caused devastation to our shallot & leek crops this year.
*Have taken a break from jumper-knitting (only a sleeve left to do) in order to knit another gift which needs to be finished by Dec 5th - pretty pair of socks.
*Lovely soak in bath later - aiming for two baths from one lot of hot water.
*Started thinking about my job list for the coming week - much of it money saving in one way or another.
Ok, think that's it. Time to get those needles clacking.

Spent nothing today. Asleep all night and then dozed all day. Think I have a virus...and a ten hour shift ahead of me.

Quick check in. Hi Candy :hello: lovely to 'see' you. Welcome back.
Well I've managed to achieve everything on my list, despite being a little side swiped by DH finding a flat tyre on my car. Luckily it's a work vehicle, called RAC arrived within 10 minutes, did a patch job. Went to have repaired but had to drive nearly an hour to get tyres as everywhere nearer out of stock  well it got us out if the house and work pay for petrol so all good. No spend here and got free hot drinks whilst they were doing it.
I also dropped a present off for friends daughter which I bought a few months ago, card from stash
I cooked caramelised onion bread swirls (think savoury Chelsea buns) that we had with soup at lunchtime, both DD liked them and DH asked if I could make some more for tea :rotfl:Definitely added to this list
I also used up about 5 eating apples and some crumble mix from freezer for pud for DH and I tonight
Went for my first run in the dark, big step for me
Got confirmation electric has swapped to new supplier, much cheaper and really efficient process so far, plus saving me a packet as we spend much more on electric than gas :T
Only needed to iron 5 items for week, so must admit didn't even get board out just did it on kitchen side
Right off to bath girls, tea cooking slowly in oven and will crack on with labelling after a very productive weekend. Enjoy your evening.
