Evening Savvy :hello:
Do you know the best place for potatoes at the mo?, I've been waiting for the £2 ones in morries but am now potato-less
...I'm not fussy about variety as long as they are not too small (i.e. the morries £2 sacks are ideal)
No luck on those at all - they have been OOS for a few weeks but have now returned - and I am unhappy with them on two counts. Firstly, whereas before the sacks kept for ages and I could keep them airtight, they have now decided to put a hole in the front of the bags with meshing where you can now see the potatoes. :(I don't need to see potatoes, I know what they look like - they'll never keep as fresh now. Secondly, they have come back at the highest price I've ever seen: £4.75!:( Presumably the half price offers in future are going to be £2.34 and not £2.
So, anyway, I'm not shopping at M for potatoes - and they also seem very pricey now on a lot of other fruit and veg. (unless you buy only on store-specific whoopsie).
So, unless T has some 2.5Kg on offer on £1 (and then it's Avs T), and bearing in mind it's the first half of the week so, as usual, I am out of the loop on everything happening at T and only know about M prices - it is default back to the Eday Value 2.5Kg at £1.18 - or Sains. Basics 4Kg at a penny or so more per kg if T Eday can't be found.
I say only "know" about M prices, that's if I can "know" them from the SELs:(:rotfl:. It seems each new store I go to gives me conflicts in pricing that I didn't have before I went there. So, just way too much to mention, and I've having problems with the forum - appears to be on go-slow, I assume that's nationwide for everyone?
It's about the M mbuys this time - in other words several items that have gone onto M mbuy "offers" that, on every occasion, make no saving at all compared to the previous price and some are even a bit more expensive. I think the frozen Choc Fudge Cake is going to be "last chance" on APG - that's if it ever compared in the first place:rotfl: - as it's gone from £1.47 to higher individual price and 2 for £3 in M. Others to mention later, but I'm having both problems logging in and posting at the moment with the system.
I think Bells Original Scotch Whisky (1L) has gone up and the Bombay Gin may have done so too - possibly also Grants Whisky going up but I have conflicting prices. If you are seeing Whyte and MacKay anywhere (msm maybe?) at £15 - I have absolutely no idea: I just do not use msm for these prices and have not even got to msm yet - I would, firstly, not buy yet (vs M) as it won't work until updated, and, secondly, I'd probably leave it off and allow them time to catch up in the stores as I have two stores £18 and two stores £15. Based on that, if the APG had the same, they should take lowest price: however, trust them to have 6 stores all at £18.
I think, although they certainly will not work at the moment, the Pringles (190g) will very probably pick up £1 M price after the update due late tomorrow or Wednesday. They are straight £1 in M in my stores and there's no issue over the SELs from today.
Yazoo smoothies have gone from straight £1 to any 2 for £2 in M, with new individual price of £2 now. Presumably so that they can claim was £2 now £1 next time, based on the individual price, even though, if you get them on whichever offer they are on at the time in M, you would pay the same price per item throughout. Cadbury chilled Puddings are off - gone from £1 to... guess what? I'll tell you later:D... I guessed before I even saw them - :(so predictable these supermarkets.
The offers on the Selection Boxes 2 for £2 mbuy, the Hula Hoops, the McCoys 6 pack Crisps and the Tetley 240 teabags appear to be being extended but only to Tuesday. Be careful on the Tetley in particular - now got £5 SEL price underneath the offer label. It's the BC label price underneath I believe they take, and not the offer label that cannot be scanned.
The Frijj milkshakes have gone up - guess what - to a more expensive mbuy! However, the flavoured own brand 1L milks have gone to straight £1 - guess what, from a 2 for £2 mbuy that made no saving on the new price!
The fishcakes are off, the Kippers have gone to straight £1.30 price - even the individual Snickers appear now to be straight 60p!:( The frozen Birds Eye Cod Fish Fillet Burgers have gone from £2 to a higher price and 2 for £4 - no saving, yet again. I don't think there are any mbuys that make savings - other than occasionally ones on items that still tend to be quite expensive (i.e. a number of pounds and above one pound) and thus would see you paying several pounds more in order to make the saving. For example, the larger Innocent juices and Cravendale milk now on 3 for £5 in A might be a saving and so too the ICBINB 1Kg on that offer - although it is not as low as M's individual price in the past has been (i.e. not now). Similarly the Glade Candles usually go to individual £2 offers ('half price') but with them being on 3 for £5:eek: in M, that might be a "saving" off their normal offer price - but, again, it's having you spending several pounds (and several pounds more in order to get three).
Other than those, I think there aren't any mbuys that make savings. I think the assumption should now be that, if an item is on a mbuy offer, it's probably at best same price as before (but requiring you now to buy more) if not more expensive than it was. I don't know about the 'fresh' Pigs in Blankets on 2 for £3.50 in M - have they been cheaper than £1.75 before? Perhaps they have, perhaps not. I stumbled across a very old list of mine on one of these threads recently and - remember how I said the 5 for £1 sweets offer in A, I wasn't sure that some of the items in that had not been straight 20p before: well, it turns out the Chupa Chups Lolly was, indeed, 20p sometime a couple of years ago. So, yet again, it turns out to be no saving for that item compared to what it used to be!
The alcohol packs offers in M have changed, the meal deal for the pizza, frozen chips and Ben & Jerry's is no longer on. The A2 milk is off too, so is the Irish Yogurts, the Kiltie Scampi has trebled in price, the counter mussels are off, the Oust Descaler that came off offer last Monday, then went back to £1 offer on Wednesday, has now gone without leaving any trace in all but one of the stores I have been at today and, in the one store that has it, is now showing full price (not that I believe any of it). The non-comparable fixed weight Pork Shoulder at £2.72 appears now to have gone, but not to worry anyway as the comparable Pork Shoulder is now back at £2/kg (for shopping at A, not just yet).
The fresh soups are off apart from the Leek & Potato, Creamy Veg. and Tomato & Basil - others (own brand) are now showing £1.38. The £1 offer is now onto the NYCs. The Pure Dairy Free products are up in price. The chilled Jus Rol Pastry mbuy has ended too - it's now for us to go onto a frozen version different offer.
There are some Mixed Primroses at 50p and some at 70p, so pick the ones that have 50p price on them. If you pick any at all:rotfl: - or maybe you can find cheaper 'whoopsied' plant?
There's more to be done later, but it'll have to wait until the forum is working.0 -
Werthers still working with the crackers:)
2x Werther's Original Golden Mix Carton (380G) £10.00 £6.000 -
And good luck on getting anything from the ! In getting on for 20 months I haven't had anything at all offered - and I don't think I am alone in getting the cold shoulder from them.

Don't all rush out now :rotfl:
No £2 potatoes in store either, not that I expected there would be
Seriously though, my Morrisons store is rubbish - they still have the pizza+chips+icecream £3 deal up, yesterday they had no pizza, tonight they had no chips
Spent all of 19p on donuts :rotfl:
Surprise, surprise, more expensive mbuy pricing before. I do have the £1.47 HEs (primarily for potential glitch purposes from A:rotfl:). You'll hear more about mbuys (doubtless - yawn!) as I have a list of them - some of them more expensive than prices before, and the rest the same price! I am not aware of any new mbuy - brand new today - that represents a better price than some earlier price - and I checked the entire of the grocery store!
The "£2" potatoes are now back in store - although they are now £4.75:(:(. You did alright on the donuts though - instead of the non-whoopsied ones that went from 47p to 65p and any 2 for £1! Apart from, allegedly, the lemon donuts still being 47p (I don't believe that though) and they have no equivalent stocked in A:(
It might be why the deal is still showing, if they don't have stock of some of the items. Otherwise they are in the process of change (seems every M earlier was in some level of turmoil as none of them had altered everything yet) - the Goodfella's Deep Pan Pizzas (414-419g) are still £1 though. If you can find them - no indication at all in my first store - only 'clue' was one still in the offer freezers though the offers have moved around. Found SELs in another store in the main aisle.
I notice the AB Winter Fruit Crumble is also off - gone up in price! Please bear with me whilst I try to sort things out. I'm not sure about the Fixed Head Razors this time - and I've never seen them compare from A anyway (I am aware of an N/A at some earlier point) - they have been 4 for £3 but, whilst I've accounted for all my other items in that offer, I have three stores showing no mbuy on that now. The fourth store I resorted to - it does have the mbuy offer label but it is one of the old ones with an expiry date of 29th November showing - so, they may either have extended the offer in which case the solitary store has decided not to remove the offer label or it may be straight £1 price. It should be items that are £1 are £1 and 4 for £3 health and beauty - however, I don't have any sign of that now in my stores. I thought about a fifth store:eek: - but, even if they turned out to have mbuy offer showing there (I could find one with December expiry?), I would still have 3 stores without any offer and 2 with and the majority still be without. In any event, it gives no clue as to whether the APG would pick up an mbuy for M.
Finally:D, for now, I have some Irn Bru cans packs at 50p:D:D in one of my stores. I realise that this is not free Irn Bru:rotfl:. I don't know whether it is, sadly, store-specific though:( as I could not find any evidence of them in any of the three other stores. They are Irn Bru (4x500ml). They have both Original and Sugar Free. That is 2L for 50p, in cans. That is a price that is on very clearly in one of my stores - these cans packs don't seem to be available in either A or T online.0 -

Any ideas??
What about some Geocache stuff. You might need to read up about it a little, but sounds ideal if she likes treasure hunting.
