This was the other one that gave me a chuckle. In fact a double chuckle now - it was the Hula Hoops, someone falling for the 2 for £3 in A and paying over twice the price than had they bought them in M! And perhaps buying twice what they would have done:rotfl:. That was what gave me the chuckle, but I now see one of the Comfort Creations - paid for at full 2 for £4 (they do not get the APG for not checking their own receipt of course) by them near the start of this extract:
1x ASDA Strawberries (250G) £2.00 N/A
1x Comfort Creations Fabric Conditioner Mistletoe & Crocus 33 Washes (1.16L) £2.00 £2.00
1x Kingsmill 50/50 Thick Sliced Loaf (800G) £0.75 N/A
1x ASDA Grower's Selection Sliced Red Onions (225G) £0.40 N/A
1x ASDA Chosen by You Oak Smoked Dry Cured Ham Finely Sliced (150G) £2.00 N/A
2x Hula Hoops Variety (7X24G) £3.00:rotfl: £1.46
1x ASDA 100% Pure Orange Juice Smooth from Concentrate (1LT) £0.60 £0.83
The Hula Hoops went up from £1 to 2 for £3 in A! The Mccoys did more or less the reverse - going from 2 for £2 to making no saving at being £1 straight.
In fact, it's a third chuckle now as I notice a further two Comforts in this extract from earlier in the same comp.:
1x ASDA Little Angels Fragranced Cotton Soft Baby Wipes (64) £0.64 £0.77
1x Nestle Pick A Pac (8PK) £2.00 £1.77
1x ASDA Grower's Selection Sweet Mediterranean Salad (135G) £1.00 N/A
1x Rowse Pure & Natural Honey (250G) £1.98 £2.00
1x Comfort Creations Honeysuckle & Sandalwood Fabric Conditioner 33 Wash (1.16L):rotfl::rotfl: £2.00 £2.00
1x ASDA Cheddar & Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms (200G) £1.90 N/A
1x ASDA Butcher's Selection Simply Cook Chilli and Cheese Melt (334G) £4.00 N/A
1x Uncle Bens Spicy Mexican Microwave Rice (250G) £1.00 £1.67
2x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Lemons (EACH) £0.60 £0.68

This is the trouble, I have no idea what she likes, my brother has no idea either, she is a very difficult young lady to buy for, spoilt in other words :rotfl::rotfl:

Maybe you should put up savvy recommended signage up around tucs and cathedral cheeses :money: :rotfl:
I felt like leaving a note on the shelf in one M today actually - they had no Young's Admiral's Pies in the general freezer and were showing their new OOS label with nothing left. However, there were plenty at the other end of the store with the offer on them.
That store had, in its main aisle, though, lost its mbuy:( on them. Other stores do show the mbuy on the stock in their normal freezer aisle.
I think I want more Savvy signage around the Tucs than I do the Cathedrals! They are still more expensive vs T and S, so I don't want them buying them in case they get better other items vs there.
£3 or any 2 for £6 now showing for A on msm:rotfl::rotfl:. Again, making no saving:wall::rotfl:! I do hope they are nice high £4.79 price and they either miss getting two or that the mbuys disappear from online completely:D!0 -
nobody has got it yet, but once others get it, & you have not got yours, get nasty
I wasn't unduly worried, yet.
But when I got a PM with an offer to look into it for me, it seemed churlish to refuse.
Now that they have looked into mine and the offer to help went to OH's user id where his BA gold card is flagged, I suspect that I won't have a problem.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I will now get to the M list! I am probably more up-to-date than any individual M itself was earlier today. I just need to transfer that up-to-date information that I have (but you don't currently) onto here, and then this thread will be up-to-date!:)0

Are the pringles on multi-buy in A? I looked back but could not find any info0

I now remember - it's a long time ago, three more stores in between - that the price collection in the first store started becoming a bit annoying. It's those mbuys!
I started highlighting them on my page. So, we have the Doughnuts that were 47p two weeks ago - 65p and 2 for £1! More expensive than before. Then the two McVities Chocolate Digestives 500g packs - were £1, now £2.27 and 2 for £3! More expensive. Then the Frijj milkshakes - were 50p, now £1.30 and 2 for £2. More expensive again! The Yazoo smoothies I mentioned - they were £1 but now £2 individual price and 2 for £2, so no saving on last week's price.
I noted the Muller Light Goodies, that were £1 some months ago, are now continuing on £2.67 and 2 for £4. At this point, I thought, if the Cadbury's Puddings turn out to be off I wonder if they are 2 for £3! I walked along the aisle... and the Cadbury's Puddings - were £1, now £2 and 2 for £3!:rotfl::rotfl: They are so predictable - I can tell what the prices are going to be before I even see the items!
So it goes on. The BE Cod Fish Fillet Burgers - were straight £2 last Wednesday - now they are £2.49 and 2 for £4, so no saving there on last week (although the BE Crispy Fish Bites are still straight £2). In fact, the 20 pack alcohol packs that are now on 2 for £20 in M (not Scotland) - we could say they're no saving either, as the straight price offers on those earlier in the year have been £10!
I noted in the Airwick Classic Single Unit - that had been £1 before, now back at £2 and any 2 for £2! No saving yet again. The Taylors Coffees (227g) that have gone down to £2 in M before - they're currently £3 and any 2 for £5! The frozen Chocolate Fudge Cake, that I mentioned earlier, has gone from £1.47 to £2 and any 2 for £3, so it's a worse price than last Wednesday too.
However, I forgot some(:o maybe) that might actually be better than what they've been. As well as the Young's Admiral and Mariner's Pies of course (2 for £1 is a better price, 50p each but buying two, than previous prices there - although, even then I commented on an expensive mbuy a few weeks before which was more expensive than their then cheapest price of 74p), the M Dairy Cream aerosols might be alright - they are now on 2 for £1.60. They are usually £1 or £1.10 each. I don't think they got picked up on the APG last time, and I've not ever seen them working vs M, so maybe buy in M.
Some of the frozen cheesecakes, that are usually £1.48 or thereabouts, are now on 2 for £2. So that mbuy might be better than usual in M - I don't think I've seen straight £1 (probably have had them though and can't remember them:rotfl:). Some Sains Basics on final clear-out, that have not been seen since, did go down to 50p some while ago.
So, 10 mbuys (count them!) that are either same price or are worse price than earlier offers, and 2 or 3 that aren't! It has not escaped me however that it is often high individual prices (elsewhere) that we rely on for quite a lot of the glitches - so, be thankful sometimes for those high individual prices when items go onto mbuy!:D
Finally, on a separate thing - the Elmlea Creme Fraiche that I mentioned last time on 77p. It turns out to have a 10p points offer. Now they tell us!:rotfl: So, that may be notionally better in M than APG. However, of course they always get your 77p and the 10p is kept by them until you get £5 and then is used merely as a discount off yet more products from them - so they always keep the money.
In fact, I've got another one: they are nearly every one you look at! BE Chicken Fingers, although they have been £1.35:eek: for perhaps a couple of weeks, they have been straight £1 on some offers before: now they are onto 2 for £2 so saves nothing compared to an old price straight £1 offer.0 -

As far as I know, they have gone up in price just a little bit compared to last week - gone from £1 to £1.24 - though some of them are comparing against T at £1. And I expect more than that to compare against M at £1 but that will not happen until probably Tuesday night at the earliest. Shops done before then will therefore pick up M at £2 each! This is not Northern Ireland which has no M comp. at all.
So, I think they are £1.24 - though if they are any higher individual price than that I would check instore when I saw that to see that they aren't on mbuy - if they are, I would buy them immediately as long as straight £1.24 - or at least no mbuy - is online and, currently, be careful as to which versions I got vs T and, then, in a few days' time, if that happened only then, might be more likely to pick up more of them against M £1. For instance to include ones that have failed (picked up N/A) against T in the last day. They, I think, as well as the ones that worked against T, will pick up £1 M price - but certainly not just yet and definitely never in Northern Ireland. Are they not 2 for £1 in some very selected Ms though?
Short answer, I think is no, they are on straight £1.24. But prices can change every day without any prior notice.
I would wait until at least the middle of Wednesday before attempting to compare against M, unless we find out before then that the prices have updated to the new M prices of [Strike]today[/Strike] yesterday (Monday 7th December). I can't guarantee £1 M, but I reckon it's much more likely from this time.0 -
Pringles - "offer price £1, was £2". Says m.com.
Or, maybe, was 2 for £1 in some selected places in the past few days, and therefore that £1 there is a price increase for two! Apparently was 2 for £3 when it was £2 too, so that is a saving of just 50p per item on previous mbuy, and not a £1 saving at all (if you would have bought on mbuy before). Although, yes, for one it was £2 some two weeks and a bit more ago. If you buy two now, thinking that's a saving of £1 on each...0
