Now I have a decision to make....I normally have a huge real tree, but this year I will be away for the period before xmas, and out a lot over xmas, so do I still buy a tree or not? Hmm, bordering on not, but I know if I dont, I 'might' miss it.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

:rotfl::rotfl: Why pay a quid for a small one (sounds rude;):rotfl: - it's not though) on offer prices when you can have a full loaf of bread for about a third of the price? I know you're proposing getting a much bigger one for £1.99. They also last a lot longer than bread (unfrozen bread anyway, and probably longer than the one month of freezing that is supposed to be the maximum - and, to be fair, I've never come close to exceeding as I've always used the bread up(:(:rotfl:)). However, I'd tend to find that, with the longer date on the Panettone, I'd never even come to using it even in those months:eek: and then - I know it's BB - but quite a while after the BB I would just chuck it out:(.0 -

Are you indulging in a bottle of Baileys from Morrisons then?
No not yet. I haven't visited M except on Monday and Wednesday:doh::rotfl:. (Shall I put it onto TBG list then, as I understand they collect on Thursday, even though I haven't seen it?) You've reminded me - I found an Irish Cream Liqueur way cheaper in Lidl. Here it is: the last item taken from my notes (I'm still dealing with M list) - Dundalgan Irish Cream Liqueur 70cl 14.5% £3.75.
Have I spelled it right? Can't read my "a"s and "u"s:rotfl:.
EDIT: :doh:Got to convert that 70cl to 1L equivalent - it's going to be less than £9! (Assuming the Baileys is £9, not checked that yet.) It's almost £5.36 per litre.0 -
Fans of posh looking teabag boxes rejoice!
£1.01 each after apg (if it works - I've not tested it)
That would be 2.02p/teabag excluding fillers (against £2 competitor)
For comparison...
Tesco Finest Earl Grey Tea Bags (100) : 2.39p/teabag
ASDA Chosen by You Earl Grey Tea Bags (100) : 1.82p/teabag
Drink responsibly
Thanks Munqui, this one works (filers removed):
1x Twinings Lady Grey 50 Tea Bags (50PK) £2.79 £2.00
1x Twinings Original English Breakfast 50 Tea Bags (50PK) £2.79 £2.00
2 for £4 on receipt, although the SEL did not show the promotion. So £1.01 a box after APG :T0 -
Hello Folks
I'm not sure what's been going on in the last 48 hours because I've too busy dealing with a series of family meltdowns that culminated in us all bursting at the seams. Inevitable really and probably needed.
But whatever has gone on. Don't argue, or fight or fall out about it. We all must accept when we post on here we will say things that someone doesn't like, we also must post knowing we may get replies we don't like or agree with. Most of all we must never take it personally. I've done it in the past and can a complete stranger really upset your real life? No they can't.
Anyway enough about you lotI have had a bad couple of days. I've struggled in a lot of ways and everyone around me is struggling
my mood is like a yoyo. DS2 is absolutely distressed at the upset to his routine, OH has had to abandon his ostrich syndrome, DD is so quiet and doesn't speak to us, DS1 wants to be here instead of what he's doing and poor houseguest is just so practical he doesn't see why everyone is having such a fuss.
We properly exploded the other night. Shouting, arguing, tears and snot a proper multi person meltdown and no one who lives here escaped
it wasn't nice but we are all still here and today I've been to speak to someone about some help for us all because we need it. We are properly dysfunctional :rotfl: Ok the woman I spoke to probably had writers cramp by the time she was finishedI have absolutely no idea why this is my lot in life, I really don't. I just keep seeing my granny sat at the kitchen table saying 'what fur ye won't go past ye'
I have real friends that became my friends on here and they all bring something different to my life and I appreciate all of them. The person who never fails to make me laugh and smile, the person who will speak to me in a crisis, the person who will hug me and drink coffee with me, and the people I pour my heart out to who never judge me and give me advice and honesty and just their time.
I had to get out of the house today. For me and to give the people around me some peace. I love my job so much. Where else could you just go and make a giant reindeer? and then sit on it?
Ive spared you all my face because the last few days have not been kind to it. I look at least 35 :eek:0 -

Apparently, Lidl and Aldi do their own 'Baileys', one of them is meant to be as good as 'Baileys', the other not so. But I dont know which is which.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Crikey! There's a by-election results programme on - I didn't even know there was a by-election! I am sometimes an elections junkie, with all the stats and things - so, I might get little done now:rotfl: (and stay up far later than I should...:o:o:rotfl:). I do have to be up for things later this morning too!:eek:0

Same here, we would only get about 10 days out of it i think but I am kind of wondering if its not worth it to try and get the *christmassy* feeling I am totally lacking this year ;(
I recon it works out at about £6 a day, I wish I hadnt done the sums lolol!0
