Warning if anyone is going to buy a Panatone (sp??) from Lidl tomorrow in the last day of the offer with the voucher in mag. I bought one today, and instead of knocking 50% off the price, it added a penny on  Lucky I thought my total bill was a little high and got it sorted.

I suppose the max I might lose is about 17p/ can

    17 x 30 = £5.10

Should I take 1 for the team?

Go on! You know you want to...:D:rotfl::eek::eek:.

Do you know? I'm feeling a bit "reckless" myself right at the moment - shame we wouldn't get through the stuff and have enough Coke Zero to be drunk instead. I suppose it could come very much good and possibly better if it failed and then escalating a complaint through HQ to look at - though not sure I'd go down that route (particularly with their 'review' at the moment). It should work - as should everything - 10% cheaper or give you the difference, take them at their word! It's not a risk, it's a guarantee. Isn't it?

I've had references to products being stocked in my M but not in the price collection stores and I think they became a bit tired of me and started not wanting to refund. Depends on if you've been a regular though - and to what extent. I might pay with cash or a GC if I wanted to go through higher - though I did have one of my own shop's APGs off a bill previously and, even though that had paid much of the original bill, they still made the failed parts up (and they offered more than that originally - i.e. my first part failed shop - that involved a £5 difference on the OOS washing powder and they seemed to want to shower me with twice the amount I should have got back! But that was a few years ago).

We ought to be able to put our faith into such a guarantee. On these occasions, the Pepsi 30, it's hardly as if they aren't available in many M stores. I have seen these in all of my main ones (I haven't been regularly to the occasional smaller substantive M stores I go to) and it's not a case that they wouldn't be in at least one of the six stores they check. You are going to find that offer - and consistency of its pricing on the offer labels in the M stores I feel. It's not going to be "this was in your stores Mr [Savvy] but not in any of our six stores" (though I understand some of those - probably a couple - are in Scotland and one may be in Wales - but that last one would not, I feel, differ from the English results and on these products it's not a question of not picking up a regional variant).

If it gets that far, say you couldn't find it in your M - though it is clearly advertised (I think) and in stock in M elsewhere. You therefore put your faith and trust in their PG - and, of course, it has now got you shopping back at A at some point in the future (as you're going to have to spend an APG voucher - so too would a GC from them - that's probably the idea: to get you to spend more at A). You might be the first person to get an extra 59p (fwiw) off the Pepsi cans packs:D. Though you would need to do a shopping basket vs M and you couldn't just buy the Pepsi. Plenty of good offers in M at the mo. though:D. Go on - see for me if the Oreos work! Why don't you mix and match up three of those? I know, you're now spending more than your £5.87 Pepsi even if it works. I'd get one of the £1.29 Double Stuff as part of the shop. They might now work against T at straight 54p (though it's M's 3 for £1.00 you want) and of course it's the Pepsi 30 can pack that you want to work.

Perhaps it's my likelihood of not putting my emotion into these things and taking people at their word (in other words A and its guarantee) that sees me more likely than most people to go and risk things like this! Bite the bullet and go and see - one for the team!:D:eek: - you could be laughing indeed - or could have a valid complaint to make if your shop failed (and if you bought correctly). Don't take too much notices of prices for M on msm - they may be on Thursday/Friday prices for M now, which it's possible M can sometimes put new offers on and take earlier offers off. Prices may increase in M but the APG will be stuck on Wednesday (or maybe still on Monday) - so it's the prices on my list you need to look more at and not msm which reflects (and only when M sells them through m.com) current prices. That's whenever myself am fully updated to Wednesday yet! I wouldn't try any of the bold items on my list, just in case it's still on Monday. And wouldn't go for crossed-out ones now, just in case we're on Wednesday.

Don't know what one of them is sorry:o:o:rotfl::rotfl:.

Some Lidl price collector I am! I'm going to be giving it up (when I'd hardly even started) but not before I maybe do another couple in the run up to Christmas. I think next week and 17th might do - I'm not going to be spending Christmas Eve in Lidl I don't think now (contrary to what was my original thinking). I might not bother next week - I probably will though. More likely I'll do next Thursday but not bother with the 17th, though I probably will do both.:)

And then, it's just too much... not so much the extra day (it's only half an hour - actually the updating is more!) but more the doing it without being spotted. I'll see how it feels after next time, probably, whether it starts threatening to get too long-winded at trying to amend a list rather than do one from scratch (though that's actually even longer but seemed more logical and ordered - I just went through the whole store, in theory - then found I'd missed an aisle and then back to that - but amending what was already on I was moving around all over the place then back again:mad: as, although most items in a shelf were together in the store, some were not and were all over the place! Not as 'easy' (if taking up time) to do as the collection in M because of the different way I do the amendments in a big store - which I think isn't going to be suitable for a small store like Lidl as I would have to be coming back out, collating a few stuff I've missed together and then going back in - it's going to be longer: my 'collation' process for M, at the first store, takes about as long (probably not quite as long) as a Lidl amendment price collection the way it took today, if flying around the place and back again way too much. Of course, it can be like Wednesday in M this time: with very little changed and, in fact, the entire first part of the collection at the store (which covers the whole store except for the clothing and magazines and newspapers sections) took much less than it normally did and then not very much outstanding, as far as was available in that store. The length of time - 20 minutes? - is then more the distance walking through a bigger store (much bigger than Lidl), which I suppose gets me exercise:D, rather than the number of items. I'm all over the place at that point - and in fact there's more to check in the second store, than the missed items (hopefully few) from the first, as the first store doesn't stock them and/or the probably forty to fifty queries - actually that's not right: it looks like about twenty to thirty at the most last time, just looking at it now, and many of those the same items, week after week, that are continually not stocked in that store but only found at my other one - and then the third one if I get too much outstanding from that or still too much doubt as to what the prices of more than one or two items is).

Has anyone, without experience of actually doing it, got any suggestion as to how it could be done any better? If you have, I'd read your suggestions - but I don't think I could get it any better, and be consistent without missing items out - although I missed the doughnuts last time:rotfl::rotfl::doh: - it's a rarity though. Supposedly:rotfl:. I wrote them down (or at least the word "Doughnuts") as well, the items to check at the last store, and then missed out looking at them.
