:( Surely this would have been better kept in BWTFYL instead of MSE

Why is this because it is illegal?

On other discussion how do u guys get an invite to this bwtfyl forum or Facebook group? Elite on elite? :). What's the entry criteria lol. PhD or something?

believe me, no one on the fb group have a phd.

ask nerf about this bwtfyl group. he wont tell me anything.

ask COT, hes an admin on the skippy club i think. he does most of the !!!!!ing on there anyway lol

Could one of you kind gents give me an idiots guide to this gift card thingy-me-bob.

I have a lot of APG, and I also have a gift card sent from Asda.... do I just ask use an APG bigger than the shop and ask them to put the difference on the gift card.... and why have a few?

    Thanks x

if you have a £5 apg and £4 worth of shopping, ask them top top up a gc with £1 or £1.01 as some SA's dont know how to cash 0p, which can cause them to get on the blower to a trout!

you cannot top up a gc and use it to pay the balance in the same transaction (in case u didnt know)

the xmas savers card gives you £6 if you top it up with £144 by tonight. the more u have, the more you get.

ive 20 full ones now so tomorrow, they will all show £150

So you accumulate left over APG onto gift cards or xmas saver card. If you get an xmas saver card and have £144 u will make an extra £6 profit. so you made 20x6 = £120 profit. Also you have £3000 in gift cards!.

    Wow.

I googled it and found the group, it comes up as the 1st hit. I registered a few days ago but after about 1/2 hour it kicked me out. Don't know if it still the same.

For standard risk free savings mhoc there's nothing to touch the Santander account. I think you can have accounts in your own name and a joint account too......so if I'm correct that's £60K earning 3% and cashback on utilities etc

I've looked at Santander and it seems very good if your bills are massive and you have a mortgage with them
using their online calculators my utilites might only gain me £43 a year depending on how much the bills rise.
so £43 in cashback but £60 in fees from next year

    http://www.santander-products.co.uk/banking/calculator/123ca.html

the 3% for balances up to £20k is a bit more interesting - it says £592 for a full £30K which is good enough if you have the full amount and don't mind such a large amount in a current account.

I feel safer with small parcels squirreled here and there.

My biggest worry though is that its a Spanish bank and I worry about how close Spain is to economic collapse, unemployment of over 25% but actually closer to 50% for youth unemployment (yes I take worrying to a new levels of hysteria)

I hope this is value custard or at least reduced fresh custard from the reduced fridge - if its Ambrosia then this is wanton extravagance :rotfl:
