Just a few notes for the newbies

You will be asked to get a Scotland Disclosure certificate which costs £20 (teletech reimburse you)

You will be required to have your ID verified by a solicitor (ring round i got mine done for £5)

If you have no Driving license or passport you will need a long Birth Certificate. (i have had to order mine and i'm still waiting!)

The soft pad phone and headset are supplied by teletech. Probably worth your while getting a cheap corded speakerphone for your first week of training.

You may need a belkin 10/100 adapter if your ethernet card is not accepted(apparently teletech tech support send these out) i bought mine of ebay for £4 including postage

    Hope these few tips help

    Thanks for the info melfly.

Where do you apply for your Scotland Disclosure certificate? There's probably a really obvious answer to this :D

    Hey Daviedude.
Its online at http://www.disclosurescotland.co.uk/basic.htm Its the basic disclosure you need.
If you have lived at your address for over 12 months you can do it online.
If not i think you have to print it off and do it on paper.

Dont worry about asking questions. We are all happy to help.

It doesn't install, it's a live boot CD, what you will need to do is put it into your CDROM drive and reboot the PC. You should at some point see the workbooth screen, if not check you bios for an option to change your boot up sequence and look to see if the CDROM is top of the list.

    Hello,

My 2nd interview went really well!!! I now have the choice to choose between Techincal Support or Sales, someone help me decide, I would love to do the Technical support role, I only have basic technical knowledge, is this something I could pick up within the 4 weeks training? does it explain everything in training that customers will be asking?

Please help, very much appreciated!! :j

I'm in the same position. I have chosen the Tech Support, my only prob is the hours as they have said no shifts starting later than 4:30 which kind of dampens my potential of getting another part-time job in an external workplace. But I'm still gonna go for it and if necessary I will try to change my hours after I've been there a while. Think it's better to take the job than not to lol.
Training for this role is 3 weeks long and I've been told the training is quite extensive so I wouldn't worry. They wouldn't have offered you it if they think you couldn't handle it :o I'm quite a techy person but by no means an expert and I'm gonna go for it so if it's the one u want, then do it! Will u be in training September 9th to 26th?

  • Thanks. Got the impression no one had been taken on in technical for a while.

I've been offered Tech Support too. Didn't really fancy Sales but I applied for both anyway and had to choose between them after my 2nd interview.

Question- has anyone else found Ashley to be not very good at answering emails? The number that I've been given is an incorrect number and my email is going unanswered, even though on the phone a couple of days ago she asked to email my answer. I'm not sure what to do, I want everything finalised so I know the job is actually mine for definite lol.

    Thanks in advance:rolleyes:
