Hi Oliver
Thanks.
We didn't actually get on with any training with all the technical issues.
Random people kept piping up 'hello mark' some were quite deafening! lol
We all learnt eventually how to log into the TTU but thats it. We didn't do anything! I was prepared for learning!
Poor Mark! I hope he gets paid a lot for his job it was like trying to keep control of a load of nursery children lol!
All in all Mark and Gerard (sound the same) seem lovely and all the other trainees seem nice too.
It was good to know a few people off hear made it a bit less scary.
I'm looking forward to tonights training!

All ready for round 2 tonight?
Oliver,
can you explain the holiday situation?
If we are workng 20 hours and therefore ony get half te holiday pro rata, but still work 4/5 days a week, does this mean we only get 12-13 days and basically only get 2-3 weeks off a year - or do we get the full 25? days but only get paid based on a 20 hour week?Win £2008 in 2008 club member 5360 -
Mark must have the patience of a saint, don't think I could do his job!
It's understandable that people are going to have technical issues etc and need to ask questions but it is very boring when instructions have to be repeated about 70 times..lol.
I thought training would be 4 weeks because there is a lot to learn, but now I'm thinking it might be because we will only get through a little each night..Perhaps some one can confirm if it speeds up a bit0 -
:j hi just wanted to no if anyone has moved to the sales dept, or is in the sales dept..just would like some advise, tech is ok but just not my thing..any help would be good:hello:0

Ok guys - I was on the first intake of sales agents back in April and the logging in problems went on for a few nights (albeit they did get better) until everyone got the hang of logging into meeting place etc. Our first two nights was mainly taken up with Admin and people talking to us from different departments such as Human resources - it was quite boring but I guess it had to be done. After this, we started our training proper - but at times it was still frustratingly slow because, lets be honest, not everyone is at the same speed when learning. So there were a lot of questions and answers being repeated etc, but you just have to get on with it. Take notes especially when doing chordiant training for putting sales on - if you have the time - it is very useful if you can write down each step of the process (in shorthand of course) to use when you go nesting. I wish I had .
with reference to some of the comments about pay - we (well the sales guys anyway) have just been paid last Friday 1st August. We are due our next wage on Friday 15th August and that is when you should be paid as well. I think you will only receive 1 weeks pay (up to and including the 8th August) after that you will get 2 weeks pay a fortnight later. You normally get your pay slip posted out to you on the wednesday or thursday before pay day.
Hope this helpsAuddel0 -
Holiday for part-time is just like fulltime-except they work it out in hours.
Generally speaking that means you get 4 weeks off the difference been that you work (say) 20 hours so the equivilent of a week off is 20 hours off instead of (say) 40 hours off in a fulltime job.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
