Freeonline the best place you can do detective work is here!

here you will find loads of current teletech employees working quite
happily from home, I myself have been there since Sept and have
no reason to leave, I am very happy, like I have said before the only
way to see if the job is for you is to try it.

I think Jamesb1239 is spot on with his reply.

freeonline, I applied for the techincal job but was offered the inbound sales instead, which is fine I can do either.

I was immediately offered the job and it was made very clear, in a "you'll be a great asset for you would you like to accept the position now" kind of way. Of course there are still the security checks and references to submit, but they will be fine.

    Sorry I cannot help more.

    Thanks for the reply.
Same here. I was offered the inbound sale but said no thank you. I want the technical one. She said will get in touch when the next training class is posted. Hence, my questions. It was supposed to be my interview but seems a short informal chat. Am i going to get the job that easy? I got the "you will be an asset" bit as well by the way.

Did they offer you the job and then invited you to do the training?

    Wrong i'm afraid.
If I want to do the job properly I have to read and listen to all the parties concerned all over internet not one particular place. Investigate from the start (not from September) to the present. And don’t forget there’re unhappy applicants here as well.
One particular point worth investigating is why the company has tendency to refuse knowledgeable or high skilled applicants reported by a few people here and in other sites which raise suspicion.

I respect his and your point of view but that’s personal not professional.

Any way, I like the technical job and want to try it yes. Did everyone join the training got the job afterwards?

yeah you let me know when you find more information on the @home job
elsewhere don't think theres many other places with over 2600 posts on the subject

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

and yes I have been on the @home project from the start like a few
others have too, so we do know what were talking about.

oh and yes I have been in the IT and communications industry for over 10
yrs and I am a " knowledgeable or high skilled applicant" as you put it.

your welcome to decide whatever you like from as many sources on the
Internet as you wish, but if you want real help and advice this is the place
    to get it.

    Well said Oliver27.
Maybe the highly experienced individuals that have been turned away failed on other parts of the assessments or it could even have been a case of being too over qualified, think about it from a companies point of view, would you really want the expense of hiring somebody with a certificate in this and a degree in that which you know are never going to stick to a £6p/h work at home job when they can be out earning 20-30k? the company has to protect itself and think to the future. Also consider the fact that these highly skilled people may not have the necessary people skills required for the job (no offence to anybody who was turned down its just a pooint that im trying to make)

(technically) 2 days 'till inbound sales training starts!!

Just want to say a big thanks to all of the people who have posted on this thread as it along with the inbound sales one has prooved to be a great asset in applying for and securing a position with TT

Would this imply that all successful applicants to TeleTech are not skilled and knowledgeable??????because from what i can see here is that there are many interesting, knowledgeable and seemingly skilled people already employed or going through traning at present.

She had explained when the training would start, how long it would be for etc, before she offered me the job.

To quote a previous post of mine on this thread:

I applied through the hirepoint website a couple of weeks back, completed PC test successfully, completed skills assessment successfully. Invited to group interview on Friday 11th April at 6pm, then scheduled for one-to-one interview immediately after. Interviewer called me at around 7.15pm, seemed to go fine, then I got a rejection email yesterday and a Workbooth CD through the post.

I don't get it. I have 11 years experience in customer service roles, I'm very technical, I'm available for any shifts (in fact, as many hours as possible), I'm 25 years old (in case that matters?!), and, wait for it, I currently work as a full time tech support agent, in a call centre, for a major UK ISP (one of Sky's major competitors in fact), and have been in this position for the past 18 months! I was prepared to resign from this job and work @home for TeleTech.

Not blowing my own trumpet here, but if experience, flexibility, skill and drive are not the ideal qualities that TeleTech are looking for in their staff it begs there question - just what qualities are they looking for?

elkay115 is in the same boat as me too.

Your employer checks your background, asks for referrals, CRB so why don’t do the same on them and search for info and feedback.

A valid point. Why then, when I asked repeatedly for feedback following my rejections, was their reply:
Thank you for your e-mail and unfortunately we do not disclose why we chose to move forward with some candidates and not with others.
    It's just too cagey.

It is a shame they don't give feedback to unsuccessful applicants, but I guess its ultimately up-to the company if they want to hire you or explain why they don't.

goodluck with whatever you end up doing Jammin.

Thanks Oliver. At the end of the day, I'm biased because I'm a rejected applicant, just as others on this thread are biased because they're TT employees. But, it's not only good business practice, it's common courtesy to give feedback after an interview. I've never known a company not do it.
