A real work at home job

Hi all
It is huge let down. I was called by teletech today. It was supposed to be an interview. But the person asked me only one question. Whether I can work 4.30-11.00. Which I can't. The earliest on a weekday evening I can start is 7.00pm.
When I said this, the interviewee said, currently they are looking for someone to from 4.30 only. And that is the end of the interview(lasted 2 min.) It was very frustrating, considering I spent the whole day preparing for the interview.
Did anyone else experience this? I had an understanding that there are people who are doing 7.00-11.00.
It would have been an ideal job for me.:mad:Auddel0 -
There are people doing 7-11 on the tech job,

Oliver 27 or anyone else who currently works for teletech. I have a few questions re the training that starts on Monday.
1) I know I read on here about the best telephone to get but cannot find the post now. I have a cordless phone which doesnt allow for a headset to be plugged in. Where can I find one that is suitable for use?
2) Ellen has said that the trainer will call before the training commences, but when? I mean do I have to wait in all weekend or is it just as the training is due to start. I dont want to miss them!!?
3) I was at work when I was requested to attend the Online Information Session. I informed Ellen in plenty of time however, when asking if there was another I could attend Ellen advised there wasnt any other sessions before Monday and not to worry. What was supposed to happen in this session?
Thank you for your help in advance.0 -

Best phone to get is the Opticom 210 . I payed £7.99 in Argos. The trainer will email you a few days before training commences with all the details of attending the training sessions and stuff.
As for the online meeting I attended one long before I even had the interview and it was just info regarding the job so I shouldn't worry too much.
What training times are you doing?0 -
Thanks Auddel and Oliver. It would have been a perfect job for me to bend around the family committments. Never mind!0

Hi All,
Does anyone do tech support for teletech?
Quite fancy this, but haven't seen any postings for such roles?
TIA"How much?????" :eek:0 -
you not read the complete thread then?
Yep theres a few of us from here doing the
tech surpport role, what would you like to know?0 -
Hi Oliver27,
Thanks for the reply.
I've got a couple of years tech support experience for a ISP troubleshooting connectivity issues etc and general application support and was wondering about required skill set, pay rates, shift rotas, Home based roles? etc.
Any help will be appreciated
TIA
Ps PM if privacy is an issue"How much?????" :eek:0 -
Pay rates are static £6 per hour worked, there is also a bonus scheme in place if you hit call handling targets etc.
Shifts are not on rota, you get given a static set of hours and that will only change if a shift bid occurs. You will be asked about availability and then hours will be set depending on that.
If you have done an ISP role prior to this you will be experienced in what is required of you but personally if you need more info this entire thread is about the same @home tech support role and if you want the job you will need to practice your reading skills as that will play a big part of your training lol0
