I have already received help from this thread on my popup blockers and the problems of my technical assessment - got a new one now. Had online meeting this morning or should i say was meant to have. Down the browser test and about 10 mins before hand logged into site. well i put my id number in, i got the blue screen that says connecting, filled my details in, made sure the little box was not clicked where it says do you want them to phone you and clicked connect. then nothing. so went onto the phone anyway, entered my id number and then said my full name. however i was then given (very quickly) a whole list of options. I tried three times on the phone and had to give up in the end. I have a new meeting booked for tuesday night - what am i doing wrong as this will be my third meeting I have had to book.:eek:Auddel0

I had a meeting last week and found if I use
IE it just sits on "Conecting" but I tried Firefox
and it loaded up stright away0 -
Whereas I always use IE7 and it loads everytime lol PCs are a funny thing and each PC is totally unique as even the slightest change can have knock on effects. If you cannot get into a meeting room with IE try FF or Opera as it may be something specific to the browser setup causing it. Some of the meeting places time out as they need specific plug ins installed so check on the screen for anything that say required.0

This is my first ever post on MSE and im quite excited!
I applied to Teletech a few days ago and ive completed both the online assessments yesterday.
A lady phoned me today to tell me to watch my inbox for a group session invite?!
what happens with that?
anyway, hopefully ill be able to call some of you colleagues in the near future!
Congratulations on your 1st post
Good luck with the application and keep us informed
of your progress.0 -
thanks paulk and oliver 27. I took Oliver27's advice from my last problems and installed Firefox. when I do the initial browser test everything is ok and all ticked green. However, I do think I may have used IE7 yesterday, as I had simply clicked on to the email address hyperlink in th email I think it may have gone onto IE7 automatically instead of Firefox. so I think I may have just answered my own problem here and need to actually cut and paste the hyperlink to the online meeting into my firefox browser bar. do you think this would work better??Auddel0

Yeah for sure, if firefox passed the browser test
definitely use that for your next online meeting
instead of IE, just open firefox and type

Hope you get sorted in the end0 -
Does anyone else have a problem with logging into the CD? I can log in but my internet is really slow from inside there, and my Buddy List takes ages to appear! I hope I'm not the only one :P0
-
Its a known issue with the server load sometimes, can take a few mins to get in (sometimes a few attempts) and the buddy list can take a few mins to load after that, normally on a normal shift you are loading apps and screens while it is happening so don't notice too much.0

The same has just happened with me. It was all there on notepad but no webpage opened up. I spoke to Live Help, who tried a few things with me and it still wouldnt work, so eventually he gave me the web page where to submit the results and my ID etc. I did so and it came back saying the Assessment had failed because I have no CD or DVD drive. I do have a CD/DVD drive so he gave me an email address to get in touch with the tech team to see what the problem could be.
Very disillusioned about all this now
Oh and Hi, typical me, my first post on here is to moan :rotfl:
Bumpity BumpAnyone else had this problem. They emailed me back asking me to uninstall then reinstall my drive. Not something I really want to do, when I have no problems with MY pc recognising it is there. Havent heard back from them since. So looks like they are just going to ignore me now. Ahh well, I guess working with a company that ignores emails, isnt the best thing anyway.
