  • Hi, my contract arrived this morning as well. I'm a bit concerned about how to go about the whole solicitor thing, and i need to get a new phone as only have cordless at the mo, but apart from that it looks good!

Just ring a few solicitors, I got mine done before because I was meant to start 1st Oct, if you have used a solicitor before go back to them as I think they charge less. I have never used a solicitor before and it costed me £10. Some solicitors refused to see me as I hadn't been to them before.

I'm worried about the CRB check as I have a motoring conviction, i hope this doesn't go against me
  • Got my contract through this morning as well. It might be a good idea to take note of a section in the contract that states that we will not disclose TeleTech's clients, customers, the type of work we do for them or their policies and practices to anyone outside of TeleTech.

Does anyone think that that means we can't discuss the job in this thread now we have been accepted?

I have always had similar things contracts, there are alot of things that should be confidential. I think you have to be extra careful on forums as more people could read it
  • Hi all

I too have received my contract today in the post, im confused at the section that says we have to get business insurance can anyone confirm this please, i thinik the confidentiality bit is about the company we taking calls for and their clients as long as we don't disclose any info on that think ok

  • I wondered about the business insurance too. I'm not sure if it's really required but I can't imagine it costs much more cos people work from home all the time.
  • yes but if you take out business insurance as if you running a business won't your council tax change to business use??????
  • I thought you only needed business insurance if you were self-employed, and working for Teletech we're not???
  • where i used to work we had homeworkers and they didn't need business insurance. All they needed was to ensure the business equipment was covered (not needed if you're using your own PC etc) and that they had all the required health and safety equipment, smoke alarm, fire extinguisher etc.
