Sorry to moan , but i still haven't got the workbooth cd to work :(

I tried the live help but they just referred me to the FAQ's on the workbooth website. Has anyone else got it up and running on Vista?
The Workbooth CD is a bootable operating system which your PC boots your PC into a secure work enviroment, you do not run it through an operating system but you put it in the CD ROM drive and reboot your PC. If the PC returns to it's normal operating system you need to look at yoru BIOS settings and make sure it is booting the CD drive before the Hard Drive.
  • Thanks for the reply Paul. I've not been trying to run it through Vista (i'm not quite THAT scatty!!!) - it says on the Workbooth site that some of the Vista hardware can potentially cause problems with it, that was why i mentioned it.

I get the inital start up screens (with the multi coloured text and penguins(!)), but after that the screen goes black, and the whole PC completely freezes.

They're sending me another CD out so maybe that'll be ok.
  • Got an email last night asking if I still wanted the job, training should start on the 19th and could they please have my NI number and my DOB and said they would be in touch when training date is confirmed. Don't want to email and ask do I have the job as that sounds silly.

I am wondering if this is actually an email to say I have the job or are they merely keeping me in the loop? Anyone else had this email?

Don't want to get too excited.

Im just wondering where I stand also. Had the two interviews and the last communication was " please complete the attached form with your referrees so that we can get you hired". Did that a week ago and have spoken to them to confirm that my application is still live etc. I suppose they are just waiting for referree replies. Two of them definately havent been contacted yet and one other would have telephoned me to say. Completed and submitted this form about 10 days ago.

Oh well, will just have to wait and see

    regards
