Westlife at the O2 on that date may mean bargains will be slightly thinner on the ground. I can't currently find any secret hotels in the area that I would recommend as value for that date. The Hilton Kensington is nice and is available at a good price but it's a ride away on the central line and it's more business-oriented than luxury.

It could be worth booking a refundable deal somewhere now and then seeing if there are any bargains available nearer the time.

Hi im looking to book a top secret hotel with last minute. Please can anyone tell me if they have booked the 'superb high quality hotel next to tower bridge'? and please give me the name of the hotel. below is the hotel facilities.

This is the Grange City. I would look at it as more of a good 4* than a 5*.

Thank you to everyone who has posted on this thread - I took the advice of 'Pelican_eats_pigeon' and booked the 'Top Secret Hotel' on lastminute.com - "Top West End hotel - 5* - London" and can definately confirm that this is The Athenaeum. I also managed to get another 15% off with the promotional code - JANHOTELPROM15 (can be used on bookings over £100 in January on lastminute.com) total cost room only = £130.05 (£127.50 Standard Double Room Only + £2.55 Credit Card Charge). I believe this is a fair saving and I am now looking forward to a night in London with DH without children!!

That is a great hotel (absolutely first-class service) and a good price for it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This superb boutique hotel has been recently refurbished and offers great facilities. All the rooms are equipped with a safe, air conditioning and Wi-Fi internet access. The hotel features a bar and restaurant and is located just a short walk from Victoria station.

It's the utterly rubbish Tophams Hotel, sister to the even worse Knightsbridge Green Hotel. Avoid like the plague.

Grange St Pauls, if you'd looked back to page 32 you might have got a quicker answer

It's probably the best of the Grange hotels but like the others, it seems to oversell itself a little on the star ratings. Still, if you get it for £90-100/night I would call it good value.

I have been searching top secret hotels and now have it narrowed down to these two

Hilton Metropole
Grange Fizrovia

Can anyone give me any feedback on these. Or alternatively a recommendation of a decent hotel in London.
