yup I think the dept store will cash in on the big bags.

however, just shop online, click and collect and you'll get a free bag. I did this in House of Fraser last week, then returned the item and kept the bag. it was a nice large one too.

blimy , by December you will have enough bags to do a shopping trip to Asda !!

Money saving tip of the week , buy online with collection , (free bag) return without bag and gain 5p on every transaction !!

Hollister, Jack Wills and Holland and Barrett give out large paper bags, for which none of them charge.

Primark are the only English high street retailers I can think of that don't charge- and that is because they still use paper bags. However, if that is the only place you can buy clothes due to not wanting to take your own bag or buy one, then avoid Scotland- as Primark do charge 5p there even for a paper bag.

Fat Face have paper bags too which are free.

I have also noticed some stores cashing in. A few weeks ago they were happy to give you a bag for free, now many are charging more than the minimum 5p.

Not in Marks and Spencer, you still have to pay for the bag.

That's not my experience, I have picked up orders from M&S and they are already in a sealed bagged with a handle.
