    Blimey Ally - that's pretty dark!

    Yup! :eek:
    Hope you're now sound asleep again dreaming of a nice warm comfy police cell following your revenge (scary it was so detailed though - what had they done to you?)
    .

    I managed to get to sleep. What they'd done to me? Something really gruesome! :(

    Morning all :)
    Thanks for the start Ally. I have a theory that dreams are the brain's way of getting rid of rubbish/ white noise - I have really daft ones too sometimes, though not as many now as when I was working really stressy jobs!

    Good luck with your new job DNMS, hope you enjoy it. It wasn't the right time for the other one at the moment, onward and upward!

    Right, so what have I got to do today?

    Finalise list and do a Sainsburys shop, attempt to use vouchers (though I will not be spending extra just to do so!)

    Major rejig at my sales unit - may need to buy yet more storage boxes :eek:

    Make a batch of tomato soup using roasted tomato sauce from freezer - OH is away so no big meals / meat needed!

    Walk and groom pup later

    Load of washing, though it doesn't look as though it will dry outside :(

    Any surveys, FPL etc

    Post some items, including some RM survey ones (use free stamps to post my own letters, or more accurately, bill payments)

    Find some Mins items - goodness knows, there is enough junk round here :eek: I have listed on freecycle an ice cream maker that got used about twice and spent the next couple of years at the back of the cupboard, so if that goes it will be a start!

    Looks to be a horrible, murky, muddy, rainy sort of day again, but let's hope we all have a good one :)

    Morning folks!

    Thanks to Ally for starting us off

    Hugs to those who need them x

    Feeling a bit off colour today. A bit queasy and ill (no I'm not pregnant :P before you all start!)

    Today's list:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Charge phone in work
    • Work very hard
    • Check online banking, move some money around, reconcile spreadsheet (got the shock of my life this morning as balance incredibly low, then realised that SO to savings had come out - am transferring one savings account to another via current account. Very complicated!) - done
    • Try to ring council over moving direct debit to new bank account, use work phone as have no minutes left - done
    • Ring Vodafone to change direct debit details
    • Going to a gig tonight. Tickets paid for out of fun fund, parking in town free after 6.30 in certain places so will try that. OH not drinking and I won't have much so relatively cheap night hopefully
    Erm, not much there! Will add more through the day hopefully!

    Have a good one all

  • Thanks Ally for the start, that certainly woke me up!

    Here I am recording my small DFW steps for today.

    1. Keep posting everyday on the small steps thread
    2. OH has resurrected Nectar card and it has 5,000 points
    3. I have moved the current account to Natwest Rewards (3% on direct debits back) the interest rate on overdraft is high but no intention of going there again thanks these forums
    4. Did not cut up credit card in the end as I sometimes travel overseas and maybe having just a debit card is a bit risky
    5. Keep spending to a minimum

    Have a great day everyone!!

    Morning all,
    Late start for me as Mr f is off work & brought me breakfast in bed. Today I will.....
    *Wash hair & let it dry naturally.
    *Clean house using minimal products & washable microfiber cloths.
    *Update grocery budget & Savings Piggies after buying gifts yesterday.
    *Knit more of Dad's present. Did quite a bit last night. Today's target is to knit up past the fairisle yoke & start the armholes.
    *Jacket potato night which will mean some more using up.
    *Only iron the items which really need it & switch off for final couple of items.
    *Update present list as have really progressed things this week. Lots of winter birthdays in our family so need to plan the budgeting properly.
    *Post absolutely final lists of catering arrangements for festive family meet-up. Have agreed to bake something extra but made sure I allocated 2 other items to other people. I may have free time on my side, but I'm not known for my wealth!
    *Set up online 02 account for new phone contract so as to be able to access bills properly & monitor data/minutes useage.
    *If it isn't raining by this afternoon, try to fit in a couple of miles walk for free fitness & weight control.
    *Design some festive jar levels for my cranberry chutney.
    That's me for today,
    F x
    2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
    Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

    Morning everyone!

    Wow! That was quite some dream! Remind me not to get in your bad books! :rotfl:

    Hope tonight goes well DNMS.

    Hope everyone else is well!

    So my day off didn't happen but never mind!

    Was very disappointed last night. Cooked some sausages that we got from the butchers a while ago. Didn't really like the smell of them and didn't think they smelt like lamb and mint - god knows what they were (butcher must have mislabelled them) but they were disgusting! I only managed a nibble - they were just too strong flavoured for mine or OH's tastes! However the pooch enjoyed having some for his tea and will have the rest tonight!

    Today I have/will:-
    * Check banks
    * Take lunch to work
    * Drink lots of water in work (giving blood later and felt faint last time)
    * Charge phone in work
    * Request £1.96 from Quidco and £2.82 from TCB
    * Check FPL
    * Email ParkRun re volunteering tomorrow (don't think I'll be up to running so decided to help out)
    * Order xmas present
    * Delete some emails
    * Give a pint of my finest!
    * Make the most of the snacks after donating blood!
    * Feed pooch leftover sausages
    * Have a general tidy up of the house

    That's everything I can think of for now! Hope you all have a good day!

  • Morning all,

    Thanks for starting Ally, what a bizarre dream!

    It's a miserable murky day here but I'm working upstairs in the cosy office this morning so feeling nice and snug. Saying that I'm very glad it's Friday as I struggled to get out of bed this morning!

    NSD today. I need to go to Boots at lunchtime for some face wash and I'm going to treat myself to lunch but it'll all be paid for with points :)
    Banking checked. There is a discrepancy of £7.99 which was for having a pair of boots re-heeled. I paid for it on my debit card about 3 weeks ago but it hasn't come out of my bank account. How long do companies have to process debit card transactions? Or do I take it that I've got away with it?
    FPL and surveys to do (I've really been rubbish at doing surveys recently)
    Picking up poochy after work and we're having her for the weekend :T
    The first session of our marriage preparation course went surprisingly well last night. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be and most of it was quite interesting. We were both well behaved! The free cake and beer helped :p
    I'm looking forward to treating myself to a long soak in the tub tonight if I don't collapse in a big heap when I eventually get home!

    Have a lovely Friday everyone :)

    Good morning and happy Friday everyone:j

    I'm meeting a friend for lunch today but have already budgeted the cost of today's lunch expense in my budget.:beer: It's not a NSD but a no *unplanned* spend day. Will be nice to catch up with her, feel like I haven't seen her for an age.

    The washing I did on Wednesday is still very damp. The conservatory isn't getting the sun to dry the clothes. Very un-mse, but I'll need to re-wash to get the damp smell out, and most likely take to laundrette to use drier (or parents house whilst they are on holiday if I can find their house key, which would be VERY MSE but land me in bad daughter territory:o).

    Quidco are processing a £23 payment into my account, it could take up to 5 days but at least its on its way rather than languishing in their account :p

    Hope everyone has a good day.

    I'm pretty sure that technically they have 6 months!
