  • Hi Sue-uu and fellow potters! :)

I have been AWOL for simply ages due to illness (mine) and dear FiL is very frail too. He has been in hospital almost a month and they want to discharge him to his flat even though he is now bed ridden and incontinent. It's so worrying....

I have still been potting coins but mainly coppers, I'm afraid, as hospital parking alone has reached £50 even though we have been sharing the visiting with other people :(

So sorry to hear about your friend's son, Sue, it's heartbreaking. Hope you and T are ok.

Just potted around 20p in coppers and 5p road change, the first in months! Things must be tough around here at the mo.

Have a great day everyone x

Good afternoon all Sealed Potters, and what a wet one it is down here in Somerset. Thank you all for your very kind words about Simon and your thoughts for his family, you're ALL so very supportive and I so appreciate it. It's times such as this that SPC really does feel like one large family! Take care all, especially all those feeling poorly or low for whatever reason. I hope things soon pick up and you get well soon. Meanwhile {{{hugs}}} to you.

Many thanks, Vicky, and well done on the saving.

Thank you so much, mrs-moneypenny, and great news about the 20p roadkill! :D

Day one of annual leave has been spent shopping. Day two will hopefully be spent watching all the programme I don't usually get to watch during the day. Day three I would imagine will be spent far away from the television after the mind numbing trash I will be watching on day two :D lol

    £3.55 potted today.

Thanks a lot, 32b3. The highlighted part above says a lot for TV at times these days. Still, now and again we get better programmes, something to cling to at least. Good potting and enjoy the rest of your time off...though reading further down I see you're bored with it...or missing work desperately! ;)

Many thanks, siju, and well done with your saving.

Ah Sue, I feel for your DD, its horrible being so hot, sometimes I feel like i'm on fire my temperature soars so high. I have absolutely no control over my body temperature so can be on fire in the winter and wrapped in a duvet and jumpers in the height of summer, I was told that's part of the illness and left to it :(

What you're describing, jakes-mum, is so like our DD talks about herself and the way she heats up, except that she harly ever gets cold. It sounds as though what you were told about the symptoms of ME & MS being very similar could easily be correct. Look after yourself... :grinheart...though saving wise I believe you do! :rotfl:

    Hello Evo, and good potting.....

....you too, Chutney, and thank you so much.

Thank you, skilly. It's little wonder that it feels very odd that your now mortgage free, what a huge relief it must be! :T Remind yourself last thing at night and first thing in the morning and hopefully it'll soon sink in. It's good to hear we have so many healthy members here, happy walking to you!

Ah, there you are at last, little_sweetie, though I can well see why your life has been so hectic with the worry of your FIL; at sounds as though what he really needs is a Nursing Home, but that would be soooooo pricey! Hopefully, they can arrange for Nursing staff to help out with his care at home, I sincerely hope something like that is soon possible. Meanwhile, you and G try your best to take care of each other and try hard not to worry too much. T & I are fine thanks, and I WILL be in contact soon!!!! :o Thanks so much for your words.

It's nice to hear you're looking ahead to November and emptying your savings, Matt, though do try and save as hard as is possible in order to cash in your pot to count!! :j
    I've potted a meagre 10p today

Try not to consider it as being meagre, parksandrec, I know it's only an if, but IF you were to save 10p every day they'd soon mount up. All small savings do eventually add up so save well no matter what the amount. :D

Ahh, very good potting, Dragon Lily!! :D
I wish you all a really SUPER WEEKEND, SPCers! Just don't forget that those POTS!
