Hi all - am I too late to join?

I've got 2 jars in my house - one for silvers and one for coppers (I always try to pop change into them and have done since I was a kid. It's just a habit now). There's probably only £2 or 3 in there at the moment since I almost always use cards these days but er if I can include that as a starting point that'd be great.

    Aiming for £50 I guess?

EDIT: 55p in the copper jar, and £3.65 in the silver jar. So I have £4.20.

lexbubbles - I see you're already well on your way - brilliant work!!!!! :D

Morning all (albeit a late one), have yourselves as good a day as possible and....SAVE WELL!!! :D {{{Hugs}}} to all those who aren't too well or are down on their luck etc, lets hope you'll soon be ok.
Very impressed at 6 NSDs a week, Sue.

Sadly it's enforced, Saver-upper, we live in the country so we do it all in one go to save money. On the upside though, I wangle a more or less set amount to pot each week due to this - well one has to be crafty as well as shrewd! ;)
I love thoughts of EVERY fellar wearing a T shirt like your DH's!!!!! :rotfl:

Crikey jakes-mum, it sounds more a kin to a casino in your house!! A good idea with DS and money, he'll hopefully learn one day - your DH too on fixing that "safe area" for you pots!

Well done, Lost...it's good to hear you've found...something else if not yourself! :rotfl:

    Good work, honey!

Found 10p in the bottom of my handbag this morning so in it goes...it's a start :D Hope everyone has a good day xx

It's definitely a start, Bex, now think of other ways to add to it, being careful to budget is a good start as well as "do I really need that or just want it??!!" :D

I'm so pleased for you, Moonbean, you're off to a flying start!!!!! :j
There's certainly no fog here, TheDapster, started off beautiful then cue the rain...rain and more of the bally stuff!! :(

Enjoy your day, Potters, and be careful our SPC family ooop north!!
    Sue xx

I potted 2 x £2 coins out of my purse this morning before we went for DH's daily walk. He'd have only spent them otherwise. :rotfl:

Welcome lexbubbles, you'll enjoy yourself on here.

Thank you Sue for my new star. I think if anyone should be getting stars it should be you for all the hard work keeping us all in line. :T:T

Well spoken, Ruth! Not sure about this law re roadkill, but...not a bad idea!! ;)

It should be the law Sue, everyone loves a good roadkill story (money roadkill anyway)

Whilst on the topic of roadkill........... We went to Birmingham sea life on Tuesday. It was really good. Half way round we decided to get a coffee to share from the machine. Put the first £1 in and it shot back out again and rolled under the machine. Whilst my wonderful OH was looking for it he found 2 x 20p's for me (and the £1 coin i lost) WOOHOO for roadkill!!!!!!!!

Kicking off the pot with £8.72

Also, i've written numbers 1 to 52 on little pieces of paper. Every Friday i am going to pick out a number and pot that much money. I hope it's OK for me to add this to my total. Last Fridays paper said £13 on it so that has been potted too. ALSO, i have 3 x £2 coins that i need to pot but i want my £2 coins potted separate so i need to get another pot for them.

Everyone is doing so good with their potting so far. Keep it up!!! I'm so excited to see last years total!!

Welcome to all your lovely new people and hello to all the regulars :)
