Hi, only potted 35p in change this week. I am going to a quilting exhibition next week and have been keeping all my spare cash for that. I know I'll be tempted to buy some material 😃Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order
)

I have £18.50 left in my housekeeping budget this week. I was going to pot what was left at the end of each month, but I can't wait until then. I don't have any cash to put in the sealed pot yet but I will put it aside after I've been to the cashpoint.
Since Christmas I have been trying to plan more meals from what I have in stock, so I've not bought as much food. My freezer never seems to go down though. I've got 2 days supplies of vegetables but I'm away tomorrow for 3 days so I'll make a two meals today, one to eat and one to pop in the freezer.

£4.79 potted today including two £2 coins
I never used to get £2 coins before but since February started I've been getting lots of them, initially spent them thinking it was a fluke but now a steady stream's started I've now decided to pot all £2s I get like other SPCers
(although knowing my luck, now I've said it I'll bet I won't see another one again :rotfl:)
Oooh, NatWest have this new nifty machine that counts up coins for you. You pour in the contents of your pot, machine counts it all, spits out a voucher for the total amount which you then take to the counter and the money's deposited into your account :j It's only available for NatWest customers but if you're one then it should save time counting and bagging your coins (and it doesn't take a % of the amount like some machines do) I went into branch last week to bank some of last year's pot and it was really quick to use so thought I'd let other potters know

BUT at least the money was there for you minmac! Don't ever feel bad about having to open your pot for a money emergency, just think, if you hadn't have had your pot you might have had to use a credit card or something and thats waaaaaaaaay worse when your broke!
As 32b3 said, there are lots and lots of months left to put pennies in your pot so you can still end up with a nice healthy balance come pot opening daybut don't forget to pop how much you took out onto your sig, or Sue will be shouting at us all cos her figures will be wrong come november :rotfl:
Got my mum to take me to what I 'thought' was a craft fair, turned out to be a historical fair :rotfl: I had been told about it by my fabric man from our local market as he said he would be there with his entire fabric stock, was a bit shocked to see all these stalls with chain mail, maces and medieval dresses :rotfl: still managed to buy £18 of material and after standing and looking longingly at the most beautifully soft leather at £3 a mtr on another stall, I forced myself away with my purse still in my handbagso have a spare £2 for my pot

Parking at uni is now $6 a day and the machine does not accept cards or give change. As I am way too unorganised to have the correct amount each day and I really don't want a fine I have had to buy a parking permit
the silver lining is I don't have to begrudge paying my coins and notes into a machine daily.
