well my last post said how I lost £2 whilst walking, but found £1 elsewhere later... I can say I found another £1 as roadkill today.. so I got the £2 I dropped the other day back at least haha.. guess you always get the money you lose back in one way or another!
£1 in the pot for me0 -
Carbootcrazy, I think you did the right thing buying the sweets. If the tin makes you happy then all the better. I think that sometimes, just buying something because you want to is good for you
Last night I potted £3.50 and today I have potted £3.47.
Hope everyone is well.

I have been diagnosed (self) with laryngitis so I have no voice at all :-( but this also means I haven't been out of the flat today so I haven't potted anything, hopefully I will get some when I go and get milk, porridge with water is just not cool...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Evening Potters! I hope you've had a reasonable day and stayed as dry as was possible, not too much rain her, well, not like we expected; consistent, but lightish. To all those who are poorly or a little low for whatever reason, I hope you're soon feeling a whole lot better. Here are some {{{hugs}}} to help you through. :grinheart
Kerching indeed, Mumof2, keep it up.
A very good day, Val!
Sounds like your DD is going to be a born replica of her Mum then, jakes-mum, good for her! Yep, she too will be dreaming of knickers in her sleep and trying to sway her MIL!!!! :rotfl:tatabubbly wrote:Hi all! Sorry I've been quiet, been potting pennies as its the end of the month and we are a little tight on cash ATM as we are still waiting on the first paycheque from OH new job
Not to worry, tatabubbly, it seems we're all desperately waiting for pay day to come, January is always a difficult month.
A quick post is still good, Dizzy Imp, and so long as you pot you're onto a winner for the end of the year's happiness!sunshine81 wrote: »Just 40p today, things have tailed off a bit, sure OH has some change in his car I can have later!
Don't fret, sunshine, things will turn around and, all being well, get easier. Keep budgeting well and save whenever possible....and good luck with DH's bits and bobs!MrsShazbat wrote: »I have to confess when I get one of the special Shakespeare/Hamlet £2.00 coins, it won't be going in my tin. I used to save all the 'special' ones but this one will be part of my memories from last year's trip to the Barbican :smileyhea
I can understand you doing that, MrsShazbat, BUT....you will swap it for a normal one - right?! :undecided
It's lovely to know you're saving and so pleased about doing so, lexbubbles, be proud of yourself.themstarrynights wrote: »I was annoyed I dropped £2 from my trouser pocket whilst walking to work, hadn't realised, so it will be someone else's roadkill.. but then I felt a bit better as when I went sainsburys after and someone hadn't bothered putting their trolley back (they put it in the trolley bay but didn't clip it in to get their money back!), so I got their £1 lol
I've just seen your latest post too, themstarrynights, how lucky can you get!! Goes to show how keen eyed you are!! :j I wonder just how desperate the person who picked up your £2 was - who knows..a temporary loan maybe!
You keep right on watching, Saver-upper, potting too of course! A very Happy Birthday to your little one. :bdaycake:
Oh dear, carbootcrazy, time to got a grip and say NO to those little hearts. :rotfl: Remember....don't just pot the change - pot the lot! I have a feeling you're a lost cause to em! :rotfl: Heck, why not.
At least you can be relied upon, Chutney.
I'll second that, 32b3, though I think that's what she wants! Good savings btw!
I hope you get well soon, Westie! I love porridge with water alone, delicious.
Some really good savings, everyone, keep up the brilliant work!!!!Have I do hope you enjoy a good Wednesday, Potters. :grinheart ....and don't forget your pots need feeding just as you do!

I'm getting rather annoyed with my sealed pot challenge - we decided to put all 50ps into the pot for the year, without realising that we never get any bl*@dy 50p coins! Weirdly, we've only had 3 of them between us since Jan 1st  So we're changing to 20ps from now on. Let's see how it goes...HIGHEST DEBT £63,300 LBM 27/5/2020 DEBT FREE DATE 31.08.20220

Why not do 20p and 50p? You don't get many so it won't be a big hit to you and maybe you'll get an influx of them further down the line?
I have a lot of change in a bag in my car waiting to go in the pot..... there's a fair amount of £2 coins too. I must remember to take it out and pot it tonight!!Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Weather has been awful here the past two days...gales, heavy rain etc. Dog and I looked like drowned rats after our walkies. Never mind, I'm hopeful for tomorrow
Poor Westie, I hope you feel better soon; you have my sympathy, throat infections are something I regularly suffer with (ex teacher, occupational hazzard!) Hot blackcurrant and gargling warm salt water usually helps.
Anyway, I've got £2.34 to put in my pot tonight
