Only issue is that we move in early March and I'm not sure if I'll empty the pot before we go or not. I'm not even sure where I will empty is as bank is a fair way away and I don't have bags and those machines take a cut.

Of course you can join us
,onamission2016, Tall_order and Pennydreams3. A very warm welcome to you both! It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoy the banter when declaring your conquests! You'll find your numbers below this welcome aboard message. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 3rd Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

onamission2016 - Please note your No is 119. Your new No, we know, will be much-loved by you, sadly it was alone after it's member failed to return. ;) Still, if she changes her mind then she can always re-join and have another. :)

Tall_order - Please note your No is 122.This is a pre-loved one and needs a lot of TLC. :) However, if the previous owner decides to return then she's welcome to re-join and be given a new No. BTW. Try your best to keep your cash in your pot to save you any hassle.

Pennydreams3 - Please note your No is 123. This is a lonely one abandoned by a former SPC member and is awaiting someone to cherish it. :D However, if the previous owner decides to return then she's welcome to re-join and be given a new No. BTW. Forgive me saying - it took you long enough to make up your mind!! :rotfl: Just joking, though you'll know that of course. ;)

A lovely welcome with perfect details, Lynne, which rewards you with a gold star. :staradmin Very many thanks and I hope you had a wonderful Birthday!!! Belated greeting to you for a very safe and healthy year. :D

Good afternoon all Potters! Thanks for your thoughts and good wishes, Lynne, and, just trying, your wishes and are most appreciated. I've had a really rotten few days, I'm still not up to par, but I aim on getting there asap. :D Our DD is rough with the MS too, but it's to be expected when she's in a relapse anyway. Hopefully, she'll soon be feeling better. For all othere poorly in any way, or maybe a little low for any reason here are some {{{hugs}}} to help a little, and get you well soon. :grinheart
It's been a stressful week, grandfathers funeral on Tuesday so that was £10 into a collection box and then today I've been giving evidence in court (I was the victim of an assault a step up from indecent, it's made the news already) so now sitting trying to work out more money saving and challenges while drinking prosecco left over from Christmas!

My heart truly goes out to you, MrsC...to be, as it must be an awful time to need to go through, but I sincerely hope they find him guilty and tht you, in time, can get as over it as is possible. {{{hugs}}} for you. You're doing very well with OH's cash tought and that has to be great!! :D

Thanks for popping your No on, Fairyfingers...

....I hope you won't be long doing yours Matt!!! :naughty:

Very well done, lexbubbles, I hope it works out perfectly for you with the SS.

Well you might have been missing, 12 month challenge, but it looks as though you've really made up for it...or is it pennance?!!! ;)

Good for you, MrsShazbat, it's going well.

I see somethings never change with your TGIF comment, 32b3. Well done with the walk, thought not the mud. ;)

What can you mean Sue? i merely thought it would be very money saving to have home-made pants, and if jakes-mum is kind enough to make them it could turn into a nice little earner for her!
(You're right about David T, but don't tell my OH :rotfl: )
Oh, on topic, a few pennies potted today after a surprise lunch out with DS :D

No, no TheDapster, it was the putting faces on back and front of the pants then turning them inside out that I was referring to...think about it and I'm sure the penny will drop, if it hasn't already and you're trying to wind me up a bit. ;) I won't be telling your OH and that's a promise!

Your poor puppy, owlet, I hope by now he's getting over that awful gastroenteritis.

Great work with the potting, plumduff, the sweet eating too!!

Very well done with the voucher, savingpennies, it's another good way to earn as well as save!
£12 earned from my brass teaching this morning £7 just potted :-)

Good potting, Brass_Triumphant, is the brass teaching your line of work/career or has it been a progressed hobby?

I'm really sorry to read about your your daughters friends, just trying, that must absolutely be terrible!

For you too, Dizzy Imp, though I guess the odd DH raid goes some small way to help you get through!! :j

Those pants are amazing, Ruth, excellent work!!!!! :T I don't know why, but I wasn't thinking that'd be THAT GOOD when jakes-mum said about them. Brilliant saving too!!

I really hope your little treasure is much better now, sunshine, here's a {{{hug}}} from me for her please.

I'm so glad your Lily had a wonderful Birthday, jakes-mum, bless her. Some parents just sadly can't be bothered to reply, that was always a problem with my 2 and their friends so somethings never change; very distressing for the kiddie who's Birthday it is though. :( BTW, did you really mean you'd potted 74 x £2 coins???!!!!!!! If so that's just amazing!!!!! :j

Helen - that's simply FANTASTIC LOSING!!!!!!! :j Congratulations to you on such an achievement!!! :T Stay focused and enjoy a really lovely Birthday on Sunday!!

Val - why not strike while the iron's hot and lose Lbs alongside Helen?!! You CAN do it, and if you start now you'll know you're not alone!

By golly, siju, little wonder you felt so shattered after all that dancing - BUT - think of all the calories you'll have burned whilst really enjoying yourselves!

Just a quick one for today, folks, hopefully I'll be back with you tomorrow.
Enjoy the rest of the day and evening, SPCers. :grinheart ...and a super Wednesday! Don't forget to feed your pots!

I did indeedy pot 74 x £2 coins Sue :D Went to the bank, asked for all my cashback in £2 coins :rotfl:, DH said 'they won't give it all to you in £2's!' pfft, shows what he knows! Tin now has a lovely weight to it, but still has lots of room for more :D

Slowly, slowly the remaining parents are contacting me, am now down to 6 parents left to go, we have only had 1 no which is nice and have quickly written a invite to another child that she really wanted to invite but we just couldn't due to numbers.

30p in the pot today! from a cheeky fishcake and chips tea :D

Some to pot today. Had to get a bus and was somewhere where there was a £5 minimum card spend, so out came some cash. Need to pick something up in the morning, so I'll count up after that.

I wonder if I can pick your brains please.

I've been putting in my pot money from things I've sold etc (£20 for Whiz's bed, £10 for toys etc) as well as odd bits of change from my purse. I was wondering about still saving my shrapnel but in an unsealed jar and then, when it gets big, cashing it in with a bank and putting it into a savings plan where I earn interest. Also I've started doing Quidco and am hoping to be in line for over £20 worth of cashback which will go into my account so putting that into a savings account linked to my current account. I plan to write down bogof etc from my shopping and then transfer that along with other money from my current account into the savings account.

This way it is still saving but it is earning a bit of interest too - does it still fit in with the whole sealed pot idea or am I going off at a tangent here?

    Thanks
    Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting
