Please may I join?
It's only 10p coins and below for us but there is currently £13.17 in there(don't yet have a pot that I can seal, do its cutely in a ceramic pot 'thing'. Will be keeping my eyes peeled for something harder to get in
Only issue is that we move in early March and I'm not sure if I'll empty the pot before we go or not. I'm not even sure where I will empty is as bank is a fair way away and I don't have bags and those machines take a cut.
One for me to think about

Tall_order, can you open a savings account with another bank or building society that's closer? As it's a savings account, it wouldn't involve a credit search. Banks/building societies will provide change bags if you ask.0

Helloooooooooooooooo Pottersssssssssssssssss
Well it was DD's birthday yesterday and she was thoroughly spoilt (and a pain in the arris to get to bed the night before as she was so excited!) took her out for dinner and the restaurant decorated her table with helium balloons so they are her very favourite people of all time now :rotfl:
Now its just about getting party bags ready for her party . . . WHY do parents not reply to invitations though?? 15 invites and still waiting for 8 parents to reply! DD is a bit upset as she had to limit who she could ask and we had other children she wanted to invite who we could have extended an invitation too it we know anyone cant come. So im now stuck in limbo as I don't know if they are just going to turn up on the day with out replying, so can't invite any other kids and don't know what to do about party bags for these non responders (cos lets be honest, party bags ain't cheap any more!)
Anyway, have a single £1 coin for the tin today as gave most of my change to the waitress last night as they were so good about DD's birthday and the food was really good. Will have plenty to pot tomorrow though as I have cashback to take out of the bank, DS has paid his monthly payment AND we won £10 on the thunderball :j :jSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

There is only one bank that's any closer here, it's a consideration but we move in less than 7 weeks so not sure if it would be a waste of time maybe.
I expect I'll just end up taking to pot with us, but Im going to think about what is the most sensible option.
Thank you xxVery: £965.30 (must be gone by 01/07/16)

Could be worth checking out the branch locators to see which would be the best option at your new address.0

Please read the first post, as it's full of important information. Keep in touch and let us know how the pottings going and good luck with the challenge.
Maybe you can open a PO account for now and then sort out what suits you best. Most banks will give you a few bags and you don't have to bank there, or put the monies into the bank stated on the bag.
Please don't use the counting machine things as they take nearly 10% of the cash
