    Good morning.
I've never done this before so can I join you all please? Myself and my husband already save all our small change up and this year we're planning on putting it into the mortgage each time the jars are full. I'm planning the penny savings challenge in a sealed pot for myself which by the end of December works out about £670 so for 3rd November I'd target about £600. He doesn't know I'm doing this so will be a nice surprise for us.
Will get a pot when I'm in town today :)

Welcome MrsC, we are very happy to have you join us. Our Sue will be along to give you your very own number, can you put this in your sig please. Also read Post One on Page One as this will give you all the information you will need.
You may be able to count all of your jars and pots in the challenge. Sue will tell you if you can. After all, it's all saving. Enjoy! :D

  • So far I have been potting 50p's and if I can't manage 50, then 20p (I'm on quite a small budget, hence the small amounts!). It'll hopefully add up to a nice little amount come November.

Have potted £4.51 Change from a few days. Also 3p of that was road change.

Started a part time temp job this week in a school. Found 1p road change there yesterday. Also finished an business and admin free online course this week and have passed the final assignment. It has to go to external moderators, but never had an issue about resubmitting assignments on previous free courses I did.

Hugs to those in need of them.

    ........
So the last 24 hours have been somewhat emotional....Just family stuff going on which has distressed me quite a lot....but had a good Chat with Mum today which helped a lot...and am feeling calmer tonight....which is good :).......

I also got Weighed this morning and have lost another 2 pounds....So I'm now up to 1 stones and 11 pounds lost....Which I think is the most I've lost in years and years...so I'm feeling pretty proud of myself!! :D
Glad to hear you feeling much calmer now. Fantastic news on the weight-loss, very well done

That's great news Kerry - a new job and a new qualification for the new year :T

Been a horrible week here for the weather - cold, wet and windy. It hasn't helped having the lurgy all week but now 'wearing' some V*ck so not coughing so much.

Bit worried tbh, as DH is trunking tonight and one of the roads he sometimes uses is already snow-blocked - so I hope he's listening to the radio for up-dates.

I have potted my weekly £10 but managed to get all £1 coins, so sat pot in kitchen and potted £1 every time I finished a job - motivation instead of procrastination for once :rotfl:

Hope you all staying warm and dry and have a wonderful weekend. Happy thoughts are good for you :j

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

debbie_debt - Please note your No is 110.The previous owner probably sold herself on ebay! :rotfl: However, if she decides to come on home then she's welcome to re-join and be given a new

MrsC....tobe - Please note your No is 112.This is a pre-loved one and needs a lot of TLC. :) However, if the previous owner decides to return then she's welcome to re-join and be given a new No. BTW. You're quite welcome to include your husband's savings with your SPC one in November, up to you, but might spur you on more, even though he won't know! ;)

A shiny gold star to you, Lynne :staradmin to you also Modesty (ahh, our Sue sounded just lovely :happylove) for splendid welcomes, thanks so much for your help. :staradmin

Sorry not to be here yesterday, Potters, not a good day at all, but I'm not too bad today; just as well as it's DH's & my 44th Wedding Anniversary  and we're off round to DD & family. Have a lovely evening all and a wonderful weekend! Take care all and keep very safe and healthy! {{{Hugs}}} to all those not feeling well or who need them in any other way. :D:D

Go on, jakes-mum! Let little Lily help you out this time round, it'll mean the world to her - and - she'll remember it all her life as it's always such a huge thing to you!!! :A Excellent saving on all your goodies - amazing!!!!!!!!!! :T

Okay so 'smarty pants' OH found a £5 note, yes a £5 NOTE today on his way home from work - he even sent me a text to say he'd found it and called it roadkill too :rotfl: in the pot it goes - yay!

Hooooraaaay for him, Curly....didn't he do well!!!!! :j So chuffed for you both.

That's the way to be saving, Nicki_Sue, perfect!!!
This is such a fast moving and friendly thread, so thank you to everyone in it and welcome to all the new people who have just joined.

Thank you on behalf of us all for those beautiful words, mrs-moneypenny. :D I'm so pleased you feel that way, me too!
I was checking my credit card statement yesterday and found that my annual cashback of £86.56 had been credited to the account. So into the pot it goes. My intention is for any free money (cashback from whatever source, MOC, vouchers, surveys, as well as road kill) to go in the pot and pay for Christmas. I just have to resist breaking into the pot.

Just excellent, savingpennies!!! :T A Terrific way of saving, so long as you DON'T give in to your highlighted thoughts!!!! :naughty: Always treat your pot/s as a ticking bomb - and - other than when potting - steer clear of it!!!!!!

Well done, sunshine, and fingers crossed for the £5er! ;)
Several attempts to buy a lottery ticket online last night failed as their website crashed with all the extra traffic:eek: Glad it did though as not a single one of my numbers came up and that meant £2 not wasted:j

Didn't that work out so very well, carbootcrazy, brilliant!!

Good for your DD, Mumof2, she's sticking with it then! Well done on the sales too!
I will be making a note of how much is in there as I pot as I think it will make me want to keep adding to it :)

If that's the way it'll work best for you, themstarrynights, then on you go and.....save well!!! :j

Far better the money in your pot than the clutter in your garage, TheCatsandDogsMother! ;)

Who knows re the birds, Modesty, all depend which they are! Great potting with the £30!!

It's all good savings, Rylee, well done.

A good sum out of harms way, NeedToBeDebtFree! :D

    Woooooo-hooooooo, Frugalgurl! A marvellous amount potted!!!! :j
You too, Chutney and lexbubbles!!!! :D

I couldn't agree more with the weather, 32b3, it hits far harder - look out next week then! :( I normally like the frosty weather, but this year....

I'm so pleased a chat with your Mum sorted the family probems out, Helen! You know what to do in future, far batter than letting things fester. ;) You've been doing marvellously with the food and exercise, and now....the loss of weight!! :j I'm so very proud of how far you've already gone!! :kisses3:

    Good work, MrsShazbat......

you too Val, and well spotted with that 5p!

Hello Dragon Lily, still potting well I see!! ;)

Excellent potting, Louise!! Hardly any wonder that's the lot for a few days, in the right place though. :D

Ahh...bless her, frasersmum. :A Though in the adult world....who cares as long as it takes the money!!!! :rotfl:
So far I have been potting 50p's and if I can't manage 50, then 20p (I'm on quite a small budget, hence the small amounts!). It'll hopefully add up to a nice little amount come November.

You can be sure of that, ravilious fan, and IF ever you're able to pot anything larger, don't think about it - just do it!!!! :j

Very well done on completing the course, Kerry, here's hoping now with the moderators making the correct decision. Thanks so much for your lovely thoughts, not good at the moment, but here's hoping and praying she'll get better soon. :)BTW. Haven't we done well with SPC 8, :D I was thrilled when we went over the £50,000 mark, but then onto £52,607!! It's amazing and all down to lovely members like yourself!!!! ;)

Ok aliwali, that's just fine - and VERY well saved this week!!!!!! :D

So sorry to hear you're not well, Lynne, I hope you're soon able to shake it off. I read the bit about your DH and said to my DH "what's trunking?!" "Never hear of it" says he. I read on further and realised he's obviously a TRUCKER! :rotfl:Anyway, back in the serious worl, I sincerely hope he listens in to the reports and arrives safely home!!!
Have a BRILLIANT WEEKEND, Potters:j Keep safe, keep healthy and KEEEEP POOOOTTING!!
