Afternoon
Another £5.15 potted today. I bought my niece a scart lead and that was the change.
I was going to go out shopping but couldn't be bothered. Maybe tomorrow.

jakes-mum, that must warrant a gold star. :staradmin BTW. You made your poor little DD sit in the doorway until 9 am??!!!!!! Poor little scrap
I hope you were lucky with some craft treasures
Yay a star
I was actually trying to get her to open her stocking presents in her room rather than ours when I said she had to wait until 9am to wake us! She decided that we had to watch and photograph her opening her presents so decided to sit outside our room and wake us up in such a way that it could be seen as an accident :rotfl: I finally convinced her to open one present, and even though the 3 presents on the floor that couldn't fit in her stocking were toys she managed to pick the one present with crayons in it :rotfl: so she reverted to trying to wake us up again :rotfl:
We didn't go downstairs till just after 9 though as I ReALLY don't do well with early mornings (hence the yearly Christmas meltdowns) so it was the rule this year that I had to stay in bed till 9 and then it was breakfast before being allowed in the living room, which worked amazingly for me so will repeated next year too
DH has somehow managed to get me to agree to him going to the pub tonight  it could be the £2 coin and fist full of change he distracted me with before asking . . . I tend to tune out when presented with the shineyshe has been told that failure to return with extra £2 coins for the tin will result in a very unhappy wife

Hiya everyone
Glad to hear you all seem to have enjoyed the festive season.
I have potted £10 for the week again :j
Sue - think you need to change the opening day at the beginning of your wonderful blurb
ie 'PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.'
Hope you all have a super Sunday

Ha, ha sue, though the ginger beer is non alcoholic.
I swear she's 12 going on 22!, since starting academy (scotland).
Anyway more coins for me today Xx.
Only spent £5, kids spent more, own money though.0 -
Well, not having any money to spend in the Sales I've not been in a shop for days:o. Plenty of food still in the house so there's no need to battle the rain even for that:j
The downside is I'm getting no change to pot:( but you can't win 'em all:rotfl:0 -
Hi, I would like to join this challenge please? I recently retired and am having to stick to a budget now whereas before I could just buy all my Christmas presents from my pay.
I am going to work out a budget for next year, although I might have to reduce what I usually spend on presents and will buy a bank from pound land.
I have read the first post and really excited to be part of this challenge.
Many thanksDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

46p potted which was the change from an expensive round at Costa on the epic journey home from Sussex. Finances have taken a real bashing but raring to go in 2016 :j0 -

Hi Plumduff55 and a very warm Christmas welcome to you. Sue-uu will pop in and give you a number and if you could add it to your signature it really helps her to keep track on everyones progress.
I have a coffee jar covered in red tape for my pot, so you don't need to spend money on one if you don't want to. You could then add the £1 that it will cost to buy one to your pot to start you off
I hope you are enjoying your retirement. This will give you lots of free time to stick around and update how your potting is going :T
Good luck with potting
