Still sunny, still having a good time. We have just been featured on Egyptian tv news as a good news storey after a tweet we sent out about us enjoying our extended stay and how terrorists won't spoil our holiday.

    So nice to hear this.

Have you been told when they are likely to fly you home?

Do you have any commitments that you need to be back for?

There is a chance we could be coming home on Tuesday but nothing has been confirmed. My work are aware of the situation ( who isn't) and are fine, I am not due back till Tuesday anyway.

Our storey has been retweeted over 1000 times including media interest from both itv and BBC.

Here is the news clip featuring our poolside photo @ 2:57 mins in.

No issues here, another lovely, if not windy, sunny day. The sun is just setting over the mountains in front of me now. Everyone has had a good day, the four children have been whatsapping the Guardian as it was asking for stories of woe to say we are having a fab time and potential terrorist acts won't spoil our holiday as we are British and made of sterner stuff.

The Guardian had the good humour to msg them back wishing us a happy holiday.

Easy jet have confirmed that our Saturday flights are unaffected so the holiday continues. Might book again for June as bound to get a great price now, crisis is just another word for opportunity.

Beer is £2:45 a pint and I have been using my travelex supercard so getting great value for money.

Are the airline / tour operators / insurers paying for extended accomodation, and any meals etc?

Package travel regulations cover this situation and Articles 8 and 9 of EU regulation EC261/2004 if you are booked on an EU based operating air carrier. No cover for consequential losses and loss of earnings etc.

We are in a private villa that isnt booked again till next Saturday. Easyjet are picking up the bill, we are just keeping reciepts for shopping etc. cost of living is cheaper than UK so we are actually saving money by being here now.

Leaving Sharm on Tuesday @ 17:10! Can just take a small bag onto the plane which is no issue as I don't need my shorts for the next six months. So it will be wallet, keys, iPad iPhone, iPod. One book left to go.
