Hi there,
So sorry for opening a new thread about parking tickets but I really need your help. Although I've been reading this forum for years, I'm a newbie at posting. I've been reading threads regarding parking tickets and about this company for the last 4 hours. I found a windscreen ticket while I was in a house checking for a gas leak after being sent by local council for an emergency gas escape. Should I appeal now or wait for the NTK? The reduced amount is 60.00 pounds (which is enormous) if paid within 14 days, then 100.00. Will they charge me the full amount if I wait for NTK? Should I appeal to POPLA then? Should I put my name and address on letter?
Thanks a lot.
can you give the location of where the offence took place? , postcode perhaps?0 -
So this Saturday will be the 25th day to send the letter. Can I send it tomorrow, taking into account there will be weekend coming? My wife's just told me that 4 of 1st Class Recorded Delivery letters we sent in the last few months did not get to the recipient... what is your advice? Thanks again!0

I made a posting (2 days ago) directly above your last reply have you read it!
if you can you give an answer before wasting money on stupid recorded letters that they will refuse to accept0 -
Where do we ever tell you to use Recorded Delivery? DON'T. The NEWBIES Thread says appeal electronically if the PCN allows that, or just send it 1st class and get a free cert of posting.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, sorry for the late reply... it was South London, Angell Town, don't have the postcode.0 -
WHO owns the land you were parked on? , you stated that you where doing a job for the counsil , was it there land???
as I live over 250 miles away , I have not got local knowledge , how about finding it on google maps and pointing it out , give us some clues , where you parked next to the big sign (by parket ticketing) saying no parking or what!0 -

I parked in a marked bay in front of the building (block of flats) I had to do the job in. The sign was up on one of the other buildings there - didn't see it at that time.
Searching on Google I found this company Angell Town RMO Ltd which says manages 444 properties on behalf of Lambeth Council:
"Angell Town RMO entered into a management agreement with the Council which forms a legally binding contract. It sets out our responsibilities and those of the Council. We are allocated a management and maintenance allowance from the Council which enables us to provide the services delegated to us which is based upon what it would cost the Council to provide the same services. The allowances are retained within the Council’s Housing Revenue Account but ring-fenced to Angell Town Estate"....0 -
and have you contacted your "employers" at the time of the incident and asked why an employee has received at ticket whilst working for them?
did they provide a parking permit for you to park at the property you were working at ? presumably the tools of your trade were needed at the site , without access to them you could not work.
I feel that you are going about this wrongly and need to get the owners of the land to cancel the ticket , if you can afford not to do their work , state that you will only attend callouts if they provide a liveried vehicle .0 -
Hello again ladies and gents,
Sorry for my late reply... I was out of UK for a couple of weeks and came back working like a mad now....
I got the rejection email for my PTL appeal of course, and it seems that I already need to submit the one to POPLA. I asked my wife to do the searches for this appeal. Maybe you will have time to look at the draft..please
enfield freddy, it's not my employer's responsibility to pay for my parking, it's mine. They just give me the job and I have to do it; and I have to visit around 6 houses per day for gas works and for some I need to pay for parking. As I posted in a previous thread I don't even know who owns the land...Angel Council? have no idea...0
