I'm only paying £4.07 a month and seem to have ended up on some legacy package called LOVEFiLM By Post - Light Use 2. If I log in there's no mention of changes, no mention of price hikes and only an option to cancel.
This price hasn't changed for months.
There is a help page with all the prices of all the packages and yours is going up to £4.99.0 -
I'm on an old Love Film by post deal the light use one where I pay £4.07 for 2 discs a month - which is all I have time to watch really.
I've been surprised there has never been any increase and do think the by post is something Amazon will eventually close. I'd be happy to pay a little more if I have to but think the 200% rises are too steep, I'd cancel that but think mine will be less, not had an email yet and checked my junk mail but nothing as yet.
I have Netflix and could do the Prime student rate and have an Amazon prime tv stick but have poor internet here so the postal discs work better for me and I find more films I want to see on there.
Will see how it goes - hopefully I'll get my email soon to know what price rise I will have.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
Sealed pot challenge number 9 number 4820 -
I've not received any e-mails and can't find any info on my amazon user area, hmm. Are they definitely changing subscriptions for ALL customers? I am currently on unlimited £7.99 with 2 disks at a time.0

I still haven't had an email either.
I already linked to the FAQ page in #10 which has all the info.
It does look like it's for all customers.0 -

I am on Lovefilm at £4.07 per month, and no sign of any price increase. From the FAQ mentioned it appears that the increase only applies if you had Lovefilm By Post AND Instant. Not sure if I have that right but thought I would mention it as the MSE article does not seem to mention that. I have had no e-mail to say the price will increase.0

I never got the email nor did my package increase in price.0

Same here. Still on £4.07 a month. Never did have an email. I could upgrade to four discs for £8.99 a month if I wanted to (no saving, as its more expensive anyway, average of £2.24 a disk as opposed to £2.03 on where I am now) or unlimited at £11.99 a month.
FAQ still says "If you were a LOVEFiLM By Post and a LOVEFiLM Instant customer on 26 February 2014" so I suppose that's the key criteria. I only have the legacy by post service and never had the instant.
Suppose this is one of those "enjoy it while it lasts" things, two discs at £4.07 a month. It doesn't appear to be called "light use 2" anymore either - just "2 rentals per month, 1 disc at-a-time".0 -
I'm still on unlimited 2 a time for £4 a month!
I did wonder about the criteria, but elsewhere it mentions "all" LBP customers in relation to price rises. In order to continue providing a high quality service, we will be launching new plans and prices for all customers in February 20160 -
Haven't had an email. I'm on 4.89 per month was pre-Amazon.
2 rentals per month.
Why do they give everyone a different price?**Debt Free as of 15:55 on Friday 23rd March 2012**And I am staying that way
