  • Just made a payment of £12,000 into my sipp pension .
Hmrc add £3,000 into that .
Just got an email from estate agents congratulating me on exchange of contracts . They mentioned picking up keys etc.
I replied saying , I will wait until authorisation from my solicitor on Friday .
I will have to sort out my contents insurance later

Hi AC, congratulations. Hows all the offers going with paypal? Can't remember where you were at
  • Thanks Anna :)
The state of play is that payplan are gonna chat to me in June .
I may phone the creditors who initially gave me a counter offer , and see if they can come down somewhat to the level I wish to pay.

I owe about £23,500 approx in total . The nearer I can get to
    £17,000 The better .
  • Just sorted out my contents insurance . Amazing the variation of price . I compared the meerkat , and not confused :) ( just cannot stand that arrogant so and so ) . And don't get me started on them suspect builders . I used to be with direct line , but they were quoting twice as much . I made sure I got emergency cover included , but didn't bother with the legal extra . I paid upfront for the year , as it was cheaper . Spoke to nationwide , but they couldn't match .

A day of getting things done .
  • Awake early again this morning .
A thought cropped up , about the place being empty .
I was wondering about whether the frosted adhesive film for bottom of windows is enough to disguise . I've put that in the b&q basket and will probably order the stuff today for tomorrow delivery .

Not long now before I get the keys

haven't been on for a while, but yes please to new thread. drove down to weymouth yesterday and thought of you as i passed signs for poole. it's an exciting time you are in starting afresh and so glad everything is slotting into place. you have been on such a roller coaster ride, but shows what can be done with determination and just doing the next one thing you can.

The frosted film is very good but could you put a small lamp on a timer (to go on and off at various times)somewhere if you want it to look as if there is someone there? To be honest, until you move things in it shouldn't be too much of a problem - after all it has been empty for some time, hasn't it?
Seems like you are firing on all cylinders at the moment - getting organised with pensions and paint.
BBC weather said it was going to be a lovely sunny day today but someone obviously forgot to tell the sky as it's raining here! I really need to get out and sort out the garden pots etc. and get some seeds sown.

AC, frosted film? Not really in living rooms and bedrooms, sort of thing you would use maybe in a bathroom, kitchen or on a side landing window.

Probably a waste of money and effort if just temporary. Better concentrate on the decorating then get your blinds/curtains/nets whichever your having, sorted out.

Also don't forget to get the door lock(s) changed asap now you are committed to buy, heaven knows how many copies of those keys are floating around!

Have you remembered dust sheets in your decorating materials list?
