Ps. Re the "mirrored" one. This is really clever stuff.
The mirror effect faces outwards for privacy but allows the occupant full visibility. It allows sun in but blocks out uv rays so stops fabrics etc fading.
Mrs Porridge.yes the stained glass effect is particularly good for halls and landings. I bet it looks fab.0 -
IKEA do some great privacy blinds, very reasonably priced. Unfortunately not big enough for ds2s lounge.
My solution so far is some houseplants. They work well. I am greenfingered but if you are not there some pretty good fakes around now.0 -
As it happens LL, I will probably get a couple of plants once settled .
Thyme and lavender iirc
Ikea do some great stuff. The nearest one to me is in Southampton .
I'm not sure , but I think couriers deliver now ??
Lots of good ideas in my head . It'll be strange to go in the flat tomorrow . I ordered the stuff from b&q for delivery tomorrow .
Hopefully, it'll all come before midday . I assume solicitor will call around that time .0 -
Just to add my two pennoth worth re windows- shutters are coming back into fashion apparently and much more readily available- they cover the bottom half of the window, you get light in but keep your privacy.
(You can get Ikea stuff delivered, but you have to check it's available online, there's an option on their website. )0 -
Thanks worrierwalker
Shutters do appeal to me . I think cost, and availability are my concerns. They would have to be fitted for me .
Lots to think about .0 -
