    Exciting times, good luck AC.
Even though you want to renovate a bit before moving in, could you get your stuff out of storage this weekend to save some expense?
Can you even imagine being back on the bus/tube every day and the annoying prescence of your ex-colleague day in and day out? I have wondered if the tea lady keeps in touch with the hope of a cheap summer holiday in Bournemouth :rotfl:
Onwards and upwards and I would read diary part 2, using 'AC' from now on because you're definitely not a casualty, you're a survivor. :T

No false modesty now. ;). You did the work - we just cheered from the sidelines, nagged occasionally and kicked you up the derrière when necessary.

Definitely a new thread for your new life. We want details!!! :rotfl:

    Re exercise etc..

    Just a few ideas......,.

Some gps actually prescribe diet and exercise. This means that you can sometimes get free slimming club membership or free gym membership.

One of my friends has just had this. Her GP prescribed her and she got a free three month slimming world membership to kick start her diet and free swimming sessions.

    Alternatively........

I have just joined a gym......off peak membership is £27 per month. This includes access to all equipment, swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, and a range of classes. £25 joining fee to include two free sessions with a personal trainer, two free guest passes. It's a nice gym. It's called DW Fitness. (Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules) I checked and there's a branch in your neck of the woods.

Going to do some painting today and then get out in the sunshine.... tonight my sons are wining and dining me and then cinema to see Beauty and the Beast.

Tomorrow we scatter dads ashes and then that's everything wrapped up and I'm done with all the nasty stuff.

6 weeks till my Baltic cruise. Wahoo. Have booked all my excursions. Really looking forward to it.

Congratulations on exchanging contracts AC and I wish you all the best in your new home.

I also think it is a good idea to start a new thread (with a more optimistic user name as I am not sure you can be called a "casualty" any more.

What would be nice to see is you enjoying your new life in a different city, hopefully improving your health and perhaps when you are ready a part time job you enjoy. Glad to see you getting out and about to gigs and concerts you enjoy in the area.

I would also like to see that DMP gone and you living within your means so you have a bright future ahead of you going into retirement. A solvent, healthy and happy new AC.

All signed documents received by my solicitors . Just as well I read the letter sent over the weekend . Balance must be paid day before completion at latest . I've just asked if I can pay tomorrow / weds .

Another filling fell out yesterday . That's 2 in as many months . I've just
become a new patient at penn hill dental practice . A 5//6 min walk from where I am and will be based . Seems weird giving them my new address
    1st consultation tomorrow

I was gonna set up contents insurance . Not sure if I need to as all my stuff will be in storage for at least another month.
Been browsing online for paint etc . I have a fair bit of stuff in b&q trolley .
May order this week . I'll probably start painting sat / sun .

Have you decided on the bedroom/living room swap yet AC?
  • Hello harz :)
Great question . Looks like I'll be swapping living room for main bedroom . I'll probably decide for sure , when I actually go in again on Friday .
I've got loads of white paint ( plus the special kitchen and bathroom paint ) ready to be ordered in the b&q trolley.
I will probably do a feature wall or two, after that . Colours yet to be decided . :)
