Thanks enthusiastic . I'm just going with the flow . If I fancy going to one , I will . There is a park in branksome . I've still got to go to baiter park .
I've been once with my friend, but I will have to go there on a regular basis eventually .
Been looking at home excercise equipment today on the web.
I'll need something like that to get back my strength. Combine that with walking and I think it's the way forward . As I have a blank canvas either in the flat I'm currently bidding on or another one , I have a chance to create an ideal multi function room.0 -
Did you find a chartered surveyor this morning AC?
As regards exercise, regular walking is by far the best form. Gradually increase both distance and pace. Might be useful to buy a lo-cost pedometer to record the number of steps you are doing. As you get stronger a small rucksack with a few cans or full water bottles inside carried on your back will also help increase the effort.
I'd be inclined to hold off buying any exercise machines until late summer, see how you get on with the cheap walking first!0 -
Hi AC, please don't go looking at expensive gym equipment. You have your Pilates machine, all you need is a mat (guessing you have this already from your yoga at home), some cheap weights and a DVD
Don't want to see you wasting any more ££ on un-necessary gadgets.
Have you thought about running - you'll probably say you can't run, I couldn't either but started the couch to 5k app and have done the Great South run since (10 miles). Just a thought!
Any luck with surveyors?0 -
Thanks folks .
Surveyors? Looking now actually .
Pilates machine : probably too bulky for new flat(if i get it).
Not sure if Layout is right for the room . I can only judge that when I'm in the spare bedroom I guess .Bear in mind I'd have to use with t v /DVD
Walking obviously , is the way forward. However, I need a bit more than that to build strength. Good tips tho harz & Anna
I'm in a better way now , than I was. It took a while .
I have tendonitis on one knee, so running is out .0 -
what about cycling? sorry I have no idea if that's feasible with tendonitis?0

Cycling ? Not for me I'm afraid . Haven't been on a bike since I was a child .
So, the property has been removed from Rightmove 'Sold subject to contract ' .
Solicitor has sent me email with fees , expertise etc. Ball is well and truly rolling . I will contact surveyor of my choice tomorrow .0 -
I would not rush to buy stuff AC until you are in and know how much room you have. My daughter is now in her new flat and any spare furniture which does not fit is now in her second bedroom for now. You need to live in it for a while before you decide what to get for it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Good point enthusiastic . I will probably be running 2 places if I get an early purchase . Will have plenty of time then to decide.0

AC. I am currently using resistance bands until such time as I am fit enough to use weights. They are cheap and of course take up no space. You can get varying strengths.0
