Just got email from payplan. My annual review is. due.
I haven't opened email yet,as I'm still in bed .
Will probably call them on Monday , if they don't call me by then.
I have to take 2 readings on the electric meter at 10 am and 2 pm for utility warehouse..between that time , I may checkout one or 2 properties mentioned on my own .
Dark and miserable today. 2 days of rain , tomorrow and sat .0 -

Thanks Anna
I didn't do anything since December . That was the time I wrote to the creditors. It was also the time when I told payplan about me getting money from the sale of mums house after her death , which was a lie .
Funnily enough, I just received text telling me to book an appointment. I'll just ask them , what is the lowest the creditors will take as a full and final .0 -
Just received a bog standard letter from utility warehouse , asking for a reading . Another flat is having windows replaced .
The upkeep is of a high standard here.0 -
One thing I notice about that house above. I would say it's an area where ,you get 2 cars/ vans parked at the front. They may park cars in the garden, which looks large but lifeless0

Payplan appointment booked: weds 8/2/ 11am.
Seemed odd giving my old contact details as security . They asked me to have wage slips / mortgage statements etc. Me not working and stuff in storage , that's not gonna happen . I will politely be more direct and ask for a serttlement figure that's not too sad.
Fingers crossed . Payplan have been great so far, and I've never missed a payment . You've probably seen that thread, so I'll leave it there.0 -
Thank you for the advice, guys.0

Just had a quick nosy at the house on Rightmove. Looks like it does need some work - probably new kitchen and bathroom as there is no picture, and no gas supply by the look of it. Not insurmountable at the right price but not sure you want to do that amount of work - or are you up for that AC? Still worth looking at to see what the area is like and even to see if you do like the feel of a house.
Very grey day here so I have no motivation to do anything. I was money-moving yesterday as I also have maturing bond in Feb. but there is nothing really on offer at moment better than current accounts so opened a 2nd Tesco one for some of it then will start to drip feed into regular savers from the now lower paying accounts. I don't want to tie up my cash at the moment until we see how things are over the next year with Brexit etc. Also I am thinking of spending a little - could do with new oven/hob although mine are limping on - and car may need some work this year. I am definitely risk averse about stocks and shares although do follow it a bit "for fun". I tend to be quite pragmatic about interest rates etc., and even the rise in pension age (although I am caught in "that" age bracket too) and think we just have to get on with it as best we can.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow LL.0 -
AC - just a quick addendum to previous post.
Re settlement with Payplan - I have a feeling they tend not to be that good with obtaining settlement discounts on your behalf. I think you will get a better deal doing it yourself. When I was trying to help youngest with her DMP I read a lot of the threads on MSE about this and the consensus seems to be that the DMP people (youngest is with Stepchange) don't want to negotiate. Probably understandable as they are so busy (and even more so this time of year).
In your shoes I would be tempted to keep the payment plan as it is and try to negotiate settlements yourself after you have found somewhere to live. Remember you don't have to tell them any more than is necessary, and the priority for you should be finding a home.0 -
TBH I have no experience with third party debt management plans but what Dreaming says sounds like good advice.
Feeling grim today....quietly dreading tomorrow, not much sleep, tummy turning somersaults. Hey ho.....one more day and then we're done..
Kittie being very affectionate, sticking to me like a limpet. He knows I'm a bit low today.
Never mind, soon be over and spring is just round the corner.0
