Well, after spending 20 mins on the floor trying to get a decent pic of the readings needed for utility warehouse , I sprung into action .
I've spent over two hours walking up and down hills in various parts of upper parkstone and branksome looking at the couple of properties mentioned.
The maisonette in Davis road, is on the bottom of a steep hill. A la Kate bush. The entrance is upstairs like a fire escape , except the steps are concrete . No thank you.
The 'HOUSE' , is not in the right location for me .
A lot of upper parkstone reminds me of Tipperary town in Ireland .
It needs a face lift and is grubby in parts . You get a lot for your money though. Lots of old solid houses.
Still, I'm not really breathless today , considering it's the furthest I've walked since I've been here. I think . From the place I'm at, up to branksome , down by sea view road back to danecourt road etc.
Then I had cod and chips.
LL , this time next week you should be focusing on your new life also.
Good luck for tomorrow0 -
Stop with the fish and chips AC - I think I might just have to have fish and chips for my tea tonight!Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Yes mrs.porridge . You know it makes sense
All happening opposite :removal lorry . Plus people doing the windows.
Oh, and I've just seen a 2 bed flat around the corner from me advertised.
Sent email , we'll see what happens.
Just been on my hands and knees giving afternoon reading to utility warehouse. Expecting call anytime now .0 -

I'll get me coat :rotfl:.
Will be thinking about you tomorrow LL x
Harz - thanks for reminder on Tesco, just opened an account and will probably open another.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Well, it looks like the electric meter is faulty and may have to be changed.
I assume that's at the cost of the landlady .
Out of the 2 readings I gave . The numbers never changed.
Utility warehouse will be calling me back , later this evening .
When I put the kettle on, one digit increased from 7-8.
Not moved since . Hopefully I won't have too big a bill, when it gets sorted.
Just as I'm feeling settled
Got a viewing booked mid morning on Tuesday , for flat around the corner.
Got a call from the e a about that house. I declined,and they understood.0 -
The electric meter needs to be changed. Weds 15 Feb .
Annoying . It means the bills from end of Feb / march could be really expensive0 -
AC. Good decision about the house. My thoughts were it was ok for a keen D I yer but I don't really see you wanting to take on a project at this stage. I think you really need somewhere that's turnkey ready so you can concentrate on getting well.
Feeling delicate tonight after a pretty intensive Physio session. Going to take it easy, indulge in a bit of Hygge......have even lit the fire as well as candles and central heating - it's blimmin cold outside.
Had a slight mishap with one of my wing mirrors today.:rotfl:
More money.0 -
LL, I'm beginning to think you should change your name to Helen; Helen Wheels
I am sure it is only because you are understandably distracted. You will get through tomorrow. Cry all you want to, it can be cathartic. I wish you peace.
GG, it's a long way; it is. Really.
Way to go, AC and of course, it is the landlady's responsibility to pay for a new meter! Gosh, goodness.0 -
AC, not in your chosen location I know, but not far away these 2, only drawback I can see is their all electric:

Thanks harz.
When I went to Westbourne last Friday ,it was very busy. I walked back towards branksome and found the m1/m2 bus stop.
This was on a busy road. I was looking around me, and liked the look of the flats around while waiting for the bus. I think these are the ones. I should look at these.
It's not a case of determined to get a flat. It's a case of finding something that I feel comfortable in. Those flats look nice tho
